Research On Urban Block Renewal Design Based On "Collective Memory" ——Take Chuxiong Shuangbai Characteristic Block As An Example

Each city has its own urban characteristics,writing a thick history and condensing the context and memory of the city.With the continuous warming of globalization and the acceleration of urbanization,under the influence of commercialization,standardization and patterning,the natural ecological environment and historical and cultural environment of the city have been seriously damaged,the emotional space of urban residents has been broken,the original rich and diverse urban expressions have become indifferent and rigid,and urban construction and development are driven by profit and speed,With the emergence of "far fetched" urban characteristics,urban construction has become confrontation rather than dialogue.The urban blocks with full memories no longer exist.Instead,the urban block interface with thousands of cities is replaced.What we lose is not only the urban characteristics,but also the hearts of urban residents,resulting in nowhere to place the souls of urban residents.Due to the lack of corresponding consciousness and theoretical guidance,the "demolition and construction" of the block leads to the lack of cultural self-confidence,the rigid imitation without soul,the fault of collective memory,the gradual disappearance of urban context and the laxity of people’s hearts,and the weakening of the sense of belonging and identity of the city.This paper discusses and studies the renewal design of urban characteristic blocks based on "collective memory" from four aspects.Firstly,the paper analyzes the renewal and transformation of domestic urban characteristic blocks and the development background of relevant theories,and makes an in-depth study on the urban block theory involved and instructive in this paper.On this basis,combined with several successful cases of domestic characteristic blocks,it defines the research ideas and research focus of the paper,and provides theoretical and methodological guidance for the research object of the paper.Secondly,based on the in-depth investigation and analysis of Shuangbai City,which belongs to the characteristic block,the paper combs and studies the urban collective memory from collection,selection,extraction,organization and reproduction,and analyzes in detail the constituent elements of collective memory involving history,ethnicity and life in the research base.Thirdly,based on the analysis of the overall spatial environment and the research on the problems existing in the research base,the paper puts forward the application strategy of constructing collective memory in urban characteristic blocks.Finally,in the way of theory guiding practice,the paper completes the renewal design of Shuangbai urban characteristic block from three aspects: narration,landscape making and empathy.The research and design results of this paper not only have practical and Exploratory Significance for Chuxiong Shuangbai urban characteristic block to continue urban history,carry forward ethnic culture and awaken collective memory,but also provide reference significance for the renewal design of contemporary similar urban characteristic blocks.
