In the modern society,many industries require employees to use the computer to finish the work in the office environment,the most common work posture,sitting position to become office industrial countries is used when more than 75% of employees work posture,sitting as an act of more and more common,as a result,people has more and more high request to maintain posture comfort.Reasonable cushion design can not only improve the user’s comfort and work efficiency,but also reduce the sciatic nodules and thigh pain caused by prolonged sitting.Therefore,the optimization of cushion design has been the goal of industrial designers.In recent years,the feature and excellent mechanical properties of porous structures have been the focus of academic research,which can bear certain forces and achieve certain functions.The porous structure with different mechanical properties is applied to the cushion,which can change the stiffness of different areas of the cushion by adjusting its combination,so as to redistribute the pressure in the contact area between the cushion and the human body,and reduce the discomfort caused by prolonged sitting and the swelling of the legs,pressure sores and other problems.In this paper,the porous structure of cushion is designed by combining 3D printing technology and Grasshopper software.The stiffness of the cushion can be adjusted by adjusting the parameters of the porous structure to achieve the purpose of cushion optimization.The paper contents are as follows:(1)By using Grasshopper software to create different hole shapes and different porosity porous structure,and the use of TPU material,combined with 3D printing technology manufacturing porous structure models.The mechanical properties of the designed porous structure are tested by compression test,and the appropriate structure is selected for cushion design.(2)According to the body pressure distribution of the contact area between the human body and the cushion,the porous structures with different stiffness are distributed in the different areas of the cushion.(3)The innovative design practice of the porous structure cushion is completed,and the finite element simulation method is used to compare the designed cushion with the ordinary sponge cushion.The research results show that compared with ordinary sponge cushion,the porous structure cushion can reduce the peak pressure by 24%,and can effectively relieve the pressure of human buttocks and improve the user comfort.The research results provide a reference for the design of porous structure and the application of adjustable stiffness of cushion,and can also be applied to other designs with similar requirements.
