Landscape Renovation And Design Practice In Zhongshan Park Area Of Wuhan City

In the new urbanization process of China,we are facing huge changes,and public space as the core space in Chinese cities is also facing huge challenges.As a core city in the Yangtze River Economic Zone with limited land resources,Wuhan is a densely populated city,and its urban public space is now facing problems such as insufficient green development,imperfect intelligence,and lack of historical and cultural prominence.At this stage,many parks have different degrees of problems,such as the landscape of urban parks is seriously lagging behind,the quality of parks varies,the facilities in the parks are in disrepair,and the areas are in decline.Therefore,how to coordinate the relationship between urban public space and the people,and make the urban park landscape more comprehensively focus on people’s spiritual and physical needs,has become a problem that cannot be ignored.This paper takes the internal landscape of Zhongshan Park in Wuhan as the scope of study and the outdoor recreation behavior of the population as the research object.The paper uses a combination of literature research,multidisciplinary research,case study,field research,and questionnaire to investigate the landscape space in Wuhan’s comprehensive parks,and proposes design suggestions for the park design based on humanistic renovation,which will promote the healthy development of the city in outdoor interaction activities.The general idea and logic of the paper are as follows:Firstly,we understand the background of the study;secondly,we analyze the relevant landscape renovation cases at home and abroad to find out the entry point of the renovation;thirdly,we investigate the landscape of Zhongshan Park in Wuhan and propose the problems and strategies that need to be improved;fourthly,based on the research and theoretical summary,we propose the renovation suggestions for the landscape area of Zhongshan Park in Wuhan based on the renovation principles,including the traffic network,interactive space,park vignettes,and activity design part.The design practice of the park.
