| Visually impaired users are restricted everywhere in their lives due to their impaired vision.Activities such as travel and shopping usually require the company and help of others.As the number of visually impaired people increases,as part of a social group,their needs cannot be ignored.Supermarkets are an important part of life,but there are many obstacles to the activities of visually impaired people in supermarkets,such as: accurately finding the goods they need,identifying product label information,successfully completing the shopping-queuing-checkout process,and avoiding the existing supermarkets.obstacles,etc.With the continuous development of technology,more and more researches on travel aids for visually impaired people use technologies such as sensors and programming to help visually impaired people make up for the defects of vision impairment.Therefore,the purpose of this research is to help visually impaired people to shop more effectively in the supermarket environment through the combination of technology and design,and to improve their independence in the supermarket.This study adopts literature research method,tracking observation method and semi-structured interview method to investigate that visually impaired people not only have shopping needs,but also have pain points such as difficulty in purchasing goods in supermarkets.After analysis and comparison,this research mainly uses the tracking technology to guide the visually impaired people’s action route in the supermarket,and cooperates with sensors,cameras and other components,uses the Raspberry Pi as the control center,and uses python language programming to realize the tracking of shopping carts.Track navigation,voice broadcast,obstacle detection and other functions.Then study the characteristics of shopping carts in the existing market,design the shape and structure of shopping carts based on ergonomics,human-computer interaction and other factors,and use focus group interviews to evaluate the design plan,further optimize the final design plan,and then Use 3D software to build models and make solid verification prototypes.Finally,recruit test users,complete the experience scale after completing the verification task,and interview users about their feelings in the verification process,then organize the test results and analyze the test data,and make a summary of the verification.The verification results show that this study can achieve the functions of finding target areas,identifying commodities,giving voice prompts,and detecting obstacles,which can help visually impaired people improve shopping efficiency and shopping experience.In this study,an autonomous tracking shopping cart was designed to help visually impaired people shop in supermarkets.The research process and technical design plan can provide reference for subsequent researchers. |
