| Traditional Chinese architecture has a long history and is one of the unique jewels in the history of world architecture."A man has a crown and a house has a roof." Roofs fully demonstrate architectural aesthetics and rich traditional Chinese cultural connotations in traditional Chinese architecture.The roofs of traditional Chinese buildings are mostly connected by ridges such as the front ridge,the hanging ridge,the bump ridge and the corner ridge.In the fa（?）ade of traditional Chinese architecture,the roof style is rich and varied.The various forms of ridge beasts crouching on them form a unique landscape,and Liang Sicheng praised them for "making the uninteresting and awkward part of the whole building into the most beautiful crown".Traditional architectural beasts can be divided into kissing beasts,walking beasts,bumpers,sets of beasts,beasts of hope and hanging beasts,etc.In addition to their practical functions,they reflect the traditional Chinese arts and crafts and the artistic spirit of the ancients in the pursuit of beauty of mood.The thesis mainly focuses on traditional Chinese architectural ridge beasts as the research object,and explores their origin through the main research methods such as literature research method,analysis and comparison method,and case study method.It also summarizes the shape,color and layout characteristics of the ridge beast,and studies the evolution of the ridge beast under the changes of social economy,political culture and art aesthetics.Finally,the traditional architectural ridge beast is used as a guide to explore the expression of ridge beast culture in modern art through the investigation and study of modern aesthetic trends.We will design a series of new images of ridge beasts and apply them to products,forming a functional product brand with cultural value and modern aesthetic value,and renewing the emerging vitality of traditional culture by taking the traditional architectural ridge beasts as the main body for innovative design. |
