a natural environmentally friendly feed additive. The following experiments used the weaned lamb of Anhui white goat as the experimental animal.21 goats of 3 months old and weighing similarly were randomly selected and divided into 3 groups:control group, tea saponin low concentration group(0.625 g/kg)and tea saponin high concentration group(2.5 g/kg),7 goats in each group, fed for 56 days. The results are as follows:1.At the beginning of the experiment, there was no significant difference in the weight of the lambs in the control group, tea saponin low concentration group and tea saponin high concentration group(P>0.05);and no significant difference in the final weight(P>0.05).Compared with the other two groups, the average daily weight gain of the tea saponin low concentration group was significantly increased, and the weight ratio of the concentrate was significantly decreased(P<0.05).2.At week 8 of the experiments compared with the control group, the serum ALT level in tea saponin high concentration group was significantly increased(P<0.05),and there was no significant change in tea saponin low concentration group(P>0.05).Meanwhile the other indicators in each group did not change significantly(P>0.05).The contents of AST,ALB,GLB and TP have an increasing trend, and the contents of TC and TG have a downward trend.3.Compared with the control group, the CAT and SOD activity of tea saponin low concentration group and tea saponin high concentration group increased significantly(P<0.01),and the GSH-Px activity increased(P<0.05).The CAT level was increased(P<0.05)in tea saponin low concentration group compared with tea saponin high concentration group,at the same time, there was no significant change in H2O2 and MDA activity(P>0.05).4.Compared with the control group, the levels of IgA,IgG and IgM in tea saponin low concentration group and tea saponin high concentration group were increased(P<0.05),and the IgG content was increased at the 4th week of the experiment(P<0.05),while the contents of SIgA,TNF-α and IFN-γ did not change(P>0.05),but there were an increasing trend.5.Compared with the control group, the weight of the spleen in tea saponin low concentration group significantly increased(P<0.01),tea saponin high concentration group increased(P<0.05),while tea saponin low concentration group had no significant change as compared with tea saponin high concentration group(P>0.05),but there was an upward trend(P>0.05).With regards to the spleen index, the spleen index of tea saponin high group and tea saponin low concentration group significantly increased(P<0.01),while tea saponin low concentration group showed no significant change compared with tea saponin high concentration group(P>0.05),but there was an upward trend.6.Compared with the control group, the concentrations of trypsin,PAMY and lipase in tea saponin low concentration group as well as tea saponin high group had significantly increased(P<0.01).The concentrations of trypsin has also increased(P<0.05),while the concentrations of PAMY and lipase had not significantly changed(P>0.05),but showed an increasing trend.7.Compared to the control group, the contents of tea saponin low concentration group and tea saponin high concentration group showed increase in propionic acid,n-butyric acid and n-valeric acid(P<0.05),while the contents of acetic acid, isobutyric acid and isovaleric acid were no significant change(P>0.05).8.The heights of the jejunum, ileum and duodenum villus in tea saponin low concentration group and tea saponin high concentration group significantly increased(P<0.01)and the V/C ratio significantly increased(P<0.01).The depth of crypt, tea saponin high concentration group crypt depth of the jejunum had significantly decreased(P<0.01),while the ileum and duodenal in significantly tea saponin high.concentration group and tea saponin low concentration group decreased(P<0.05).9.At the Phylum level, compared with control group, the contents of Euryarchaeota and Verrucomicrobia increased significantly(P<0.05),Bacteroidetes decreased significantly(P<0.05),At the Class level,Verrucomicrobia and Actinobacteria have a significant reduction(P<0.05)in tea saponin high concentration group compared with control group. However,Coriobacteriia and Erysipelotrichi were increased compared with the other two groups. At the Order level,Bifidobacteriale and Methanobacteriales in tea saponin high concentration group were higher than control group(P<0.05).and were higher than the other two groups. At the level of Family,Bifidobacteriaceae and Methanobacteriaceae in tea saponin high concentration group were significantly higher(P<0.05)than control group,Coriobacteriaceae and Erysipelotrichaceae in tea saponin high concentration group were significantly increased than the other two groups. The above results showed that adding tea saponin into the diet could improve the growth performance, antioxidant capacity and immunity of the lamb of Anhui white goat,as well as promote digestion and absorption of body and improve intestinal flora. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | tea saponin, growth performance,
