Risk Control Of Pig Farmers In Xichong County,Nanchong City

Pig breeding is a very important part of agricultural production.In recent years,under the environment of pig breeding in China,the output of pig in China is generally stable,and the scale of pig breeding in China ranks the first in the world.Pig breeding has the highest status in China’s breeding industry.In the second half of 2018,African swine fever swept across China,bringing unprecedented challenges to China’s pig breeding industry.African swine fever is an acute and highly infectious swine disease,with a short onset and a high mortality rate of 100%.In Xichong County of Nanchong City,African swine fever has seriously affected the production of pig farmers.Since 2019,the price of pork has soared,which has brought great challenges to China’s agricultural product market.On August 21,2019,the State Council issued measures to stabilize pig production and pork supply and price.Based on the analysis of catastrophe risk,market risk,management risk and policy risk,this paper studies the current risk control situation of pig breeding industry in Xichong County,and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions by analyzing the current risk management level of pig farmers in Xichong County.The first part of the paper studies the current situation,research background and purpose of the pig breeding industry in China,the definition of the second stage concept and the theoretical basis included.It draws lessons from AHP method for the importance of various risks,uses expert scoring method for constant risk importance,and uses cobweb model theory when measuring market risks.This paper adopts the theory of risk preference.Rational smallholder theory runs through the whole research.The third part introduces the current situation of the pig breeding industry in Xichong County,including the basic information,management information of the sample farmers,as well as the risk awareness of the farmers.The fourth part analyzes the actual situation of specific risk control,and uses the method of questionnaire and interview to investigate and visit the head of farm,government staff and some farm staff.The data were obtained and analyzed,and the impact of large-scale management on risk control level of pig breeding industry was studied.Two large-scale farmers were used as the experimental group and one small-scale farmer as the control group.The fifth part draws a conclusion from the data collection,and puts forward reasonable suggestions from the current risk control means of the farm.In the field survey of Xichong County,we analyzed the current situation of pig breeding and the level of risk control in Xichong County.In this study,we found that farmers were backward in the prevention and control of epidemic diseases,lack of understanding of commercial pig insurance,low acceptance of rural finance,low awareness of environmental protection,and small in the prevention and control of market risks Large scale farmers are lower than large-scale farmers.Conclusion the large-scale development of pig breeding can improve the risk control level of pig breeding.
