| The rubber bark beetle is a general term for the coleoptera(Coleoptera),drilling borer beetle,which harms rubber trunks,including Scolytidae,Platypodidae,Lyctidae,Lymexylonidae and Bostrychidae.The rubber bark beetle mainly distributes in the rubber planting areas in southern China.It would hide inside of rubber trees and damage rubber trees for a long time,causing the weakness of rubber trees.Thus,the trunk would be so vulnerable that wind could break,and even cause plant death.It is extremely harmful to China’s rubber industry.Because the rubber bark beetle harms xylem of rubber trees,lives in the bark or the core of the tree,and the reproduction ability is strong.Conventional chemical control methods are ineffective.A large number of experiments and studies have shown that the aggregation pheromones and host plant volatiles could effectively monitor and control rubber bark beetles,are able to trap a large number of adult beetles in a short time,and reduce the insects population.It is currently the most effective method for rubber bark beetles control.In order to achieve effective management of rubber beetles,reduce controlling costs,and provide more efficient,environmentally friendly management solutions.In this paper,a set of sticky capture technology is integrated by developing a sticking-capture device for rubber bark beetles and figuring out its field application methods.The research results are as follows:Combining"kraft paper+sticky insect glue"into the sticky-capture tape for rubber bark beetles,which use with single attractant,recommended to use 0.05 mg/m L myrcene or 0.025 mg/m L 2-methyl-3-buten-2-ol,mixed attractant was recommended to use 0.05mg/m L compound B or 0.025 mg/m L compound C.And explore field application techniques,the optimal number of bags when using the hanging bag method is 2 bags,the best exposure areas of liquid medicine is 6.6 mm~2,and the best mutual spacing of the sticky-capture device is 50 m,the optimal suspension hight is 2.5 m.1.Comparing the sticky-capture tape material of the sticky-capture device.Two materials:the homemade sticky-capture tape and the common sticky insect tape.Attracting rubber bark beetles by 5 semiochemical lures(myrcene,2-methyl-3-buten-2-ol,S-(-)-limonene,Camphene,(S)-cis-Verbenol),compare and analyse with conventional field pest surveys.Results showed that homemade sticky-capture tape sticky-captures number were 554,445,341,381 and 367;while the common sticky insect tape caputure number were 260,230,179,202 and 199.For myrcene,2-methyl-3-buten-2-ol,and S-(-)-limonene,the homemade sticky-capture tape capture number was significantly higher than the number of common sticky insect tape,shows better sticky-capture effect.2.Manufacture of the sticky-capture device for rubber bark beetles.By combining"kraft paper+sticky insect glue+attractant",the research integrates a sticky-capture device for rubber bark beetles,and compares the trapping effect with conventional cross-shaped funnel traps.It has the advantages of high efficiency,simple operation,easy to carry,environmental protection and lower cost.3.Screening the sticky-capture device for rubber bark beetles in field application,the better attractant type and its amount.Among the five semiochemical lures,myrcene is the most effective type,which has a significantly higher sticky-capture effect on Euplatypus parallelus and Xyleborus affinis Eichh than S-(-)-limonene,Camphene and(S)-cis-Verbenol.The sticky-capture effect on Xyleborus fornicatus Eichhoff was significantly higher than that of Camphene and(S)-cis-Verbenol;the total sticky-capture number on rubber bark beetles were higher than that of the other four agents.Based on the concentration gradient test,with the increasing concentration of myrcene,the effect of attracting and sticky-capture on Euplatypus parallelus climbed at first and declined in the end,the optimal concentration was 0.025 mg/m L;the effect of attracting and sticky-capture on Xyleborus affinis Eichh increased first and then decreased,the optimal concentration was 0.05 mg/m L;the effect was followed by 2-methyl-3-buten-2-ol,as the concentration increased,the effect on Euplatypus parallelus,and Xyleborus affinis Eichh showed the similar trend as myrcene,the best performance was 0.025 mg/m L and 0.05mg/m L respectively.4.Mixed up 4 kinds of attractants for rubber bark beetles:compound A、compound B、compound C and compound D,in which,the compound C has the best effect,which followed by the compound B.Under the preparation method of 4 kinds of mixed attractants,(S)-cis-Verbenol had no synergistic effect on myrcene,had significant synergistic effects on 2-methyl-3-buten-2-ol;S-(-)-limonene had a synergistic effect on myrcene,had no synergistic effect on 2-methyl-3-butene-2-ol.The recommended of compound B usage is 0.05 mg/m L.As the concentration increasing,the number of attracting and sticky-capture of Euplatypus parallelus increased first and then decreased,it reached the highest point at 0.025 mg/m L;the number of attracting and sticky-capture of Xyleborus affinis increased first and then decreased,and reached the largest point at 0.05mg/m L.It recommended to use 0.025 mg/m L compound C,as the concentration increased,the number of attracting and sticky-capture of Euplatypus parallelus increased first and then decreased,the largest point occurred at 0.025 mg/m L;similar trend showed on Xyleborus affinis,and the largest point occurred at 0.05 mg/m L. |
