In ancient times,animal image is often used as the prototype of totem.In order to express good wishes,people created many non existent animals,such as dragon.Different animals have different moral meanings and symbolic meanings,so using these elements in design can accurately convey the design language,which is more understandable and acceptable than using abstract symbols.Many countries also use animals as national symbols,such as kangaroos in Australia and pandas in China.When people see these animals,they will associate with the country and the place of origin.Therefore,these regional symbolic animals are often used in the design of regional indicationThis paper is to study the expression of endangered wildlife image in illustration design.With the rapid development of modern society,more and more serious environmental pollution problems are placed in front of human beings.More and more wild animals disappear from the earth,and what we have to do.With the end of the second industrial revolution,designers began to emphasize the importance of green design.However,up to now,there are still a lot of industrial pollution that destroys our ecological environment.This paper hopes that through the research on endangered animals,it can be transformed into a reasonable and effective visual design language expression.The reason why endangered animals are regarded as design elements is that animals can well convey people’ s impression In order to deepen people’ s impression of it and achieve the purpose of communication.The purpose of this paper is to explore the similarities and differences between traditional illustration and contemporary illustration in form and content through the endangered wildlife species image with historical continuity and cultural diffusion,and to create a more original and aesthetic endangered wildlife species map by combining the image of endangered wildlife from the aspects of creative thinking,painting techniques,media use,communication carrier,etc.
