With the development of animal husbandry and the adjustment of agricultural structure,the proportion of silage corn in the corn industry is gradually increasing.In order to make better use of silage maize and common maize varieties and promote the development of maize industry,this study uses common maize varieties Zhengdan 958 and silage maize variety Dajingjiu 26 as experimental materials,and adopts a randomized block design with two factors of variety and density to explore the dry matter accumulation and distribution law in various organs,reveal the relationship between dry matter accumulation and yield and quality of common maize and silage maize,and clarify the difference in yield and quality between common maize and silage maize.The results show that:1.The biological yield of silage maize variety Dajingjiu 26 at wax maturity is higher than that of common maize variety Zhengda n 958,112,500 plants/hm~2,with the highest biological yield of 62.29 t/hm~2.Through reasonable close planting to control leaf area in dex and chlorophyll content,dry matter accumulation per plant and dry matter accumulation rate after flowering can be improved,thus improving biological yield of Dajingjiu 26.2.The grain yield per unit area of Zhengdan 958 was higher t han that of Dajingjiu 26,112500 plants/hm2 at the full ripe stage,with the highest yield of 22.49 t/hm~2.Through reasonable close pl anting to control leaf area index,filling rate and chlorophyll conten t,dry matter accumulation per plant can be increased,thus increasi ng grain yield of Zhengdan 958.3.Dajingjiu silage quality is grade 3 at 112500 plants/hm2 de nsity and grade 3 at Zhengdan 958 at three densities.By setting re asonable planting density,adjusting leaf area index and chlorophyll content,stabilizing crude protein content,increasing starch content,r educing acid washing fiber content and neutral washing fiber conten t,silage quality is further improved.4.This study showed that there were differences in photosynth etic physiological characteristics between Dajingjiu 26 and Zhengdan958.The biological yield of Dajingjiu 26 was significantly higher than that of Zhengdan 958.It is suggested that Dajingjiu 26 be pl anted as a special silage maize variety with a planting density of 112500 plants/hm~2.The dry matter accumulation of Dajingjiu 26 has the greatest i nfluence on the biological yield,with a correlation coefficient of 0.85**,followed by dry matter accumulation rate and dry matter acc umulation rate after anthesis,with correlation coefficients of 0.84**and 0.82**,respectively.Therefore,the biological yield of Dajingji u 26 is determined by dry matter accumulation amount,dry matter accumulation rate after anthesis and dry matter main accumulation r ate.However,grain yield is only determined by dry matter accumul ation,and the correlation coefficient is 0.57**.
