Animal infectious diseases occur more frequently as the breeding industry increases rapidly, which seriously threatens the development of livestock industry and even affects public health safety in our country. At present, using disinfectants to sterilize livestock and poultry houses is still one of the most commonly used measures to prevent and control diseases. Therefore,it is particularly important to develop new disinfectants and evaluate their effects scientifically and systematically. In this study, the suspension quantitative sterilization experiment method was used to evaluate the influence of factors such as concentration and time, temperature,pH value and organic matter on the sterilization effect of compound didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride disinfectant.Escherichia coli(E.coli)and Staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus)were used as indicator bacteria.Furthermore,we selected pig and chicken houses to evaluate the effect of this disinfectant on the surface of different objects(specific bacteria or natural bacteria)and the air.In the influence factors of bactericidal effect test, the results of different concentration and time test showed that the killing effect of the compound didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride disinfectant on E.coli and S.aureus were positively correlated with the concentration and the action time. The results of different temperature test showed that the sterilizing rate of this disinfectant on E.coli at 2°C for 1min was higher than 99.9%,and 100.0% sterilizing rate at other temperatures and action time;As for S.aureus at different temperatures, the sterilizing rate was 100.0% at all action time. The results of different pH test showed that the disinfectant had a sterilizing rate at 100.0% under different pH value, whether it was for E.coli or S.aureus.The results of the influence of organic matter showed that whether for E.coli or S.aureus, the sterilizing rate was 100.0% under different organic matter concentration conditions. In summary, temperature had slight influence on the killing effect of compound didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride disinfectant on E.coli and S.aureus.However,it was not affected by pH and organic matter. The results of surface disinfection for specific bacteria(E.coli and S.aureus)showed that in pig houses, the sterilizing rates were higher than 99.9% at 10min,30min and 60min after 1:500 and 1:1 000 dilutions of the disinfectant. In the chicken house, the sterilizing rates were higher than 99.9% for E.coli at 60min after 1:500 and 1:1 000 dilutions, and higher than 99.7% for S.aureus at the same conditions. The results of surface disinfection of natural bacteria showed that the disinfectant was more effective than deciquam solution at 10min,30min and 60min after 1:500 and 1:1 000 dilutions in pig houses, and at 10min,30min and 60min after 1:500,1:1 000 and 1:2 000 dilutions in chicken houses. The results of natural air disinfection showed that the disinfection effect of 1:500,1:1 000 and 1:2 000 dilutions was better than that of deciquam solution at 10min,30min and 60min in pig and chicken houses. In conclusion, the compound didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride disinfectant was effective in disinfecting E.coli and S.aureus, surface natural bacteria and air natural bacteria in pig and chicken houses.
