This study studied the effects of two experimental castration peptide vaccines on growth, slaughter performance, muscle quality and testicular development of boars, and compared the differences with Improvac immune control vaccine, surgical castration and intact boars, the aim is to provide a basis for the research and development and clinical application of two kinds of experimental castration peptide vaccines, and to lay a solid foundation for healthy boar breeding in China.200 healthy newborn "Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire"(DLY)male piglets with similar birth date and weight were selected. On the 5th day of the experiment, the piglets were divided into two groups, namely castrated group and uncastrated group. At the 109 th day of the experiment,90 pigs from the uncastrated group were randomly divided into 5 groups with 18 pigs in each group, and respectively called natural control group(not castrated not immune control group),Improvac group(immunization with Improvac vaccine at 109 th days and 137 th days of age twice),test group(immunization vo.1 Ⅰcastration peptide vaccine at 109 th days of age once),test group(immunization Ⅱvo.1 castration peptide vaccine at 109 th days and 137 th days of age twice),test Ⅲgroup(immunization vo.2 castration peptide vaccine at 109 th days of age once),the castration group also randomly selected 18 pigs as the castration group;the experiment lasted 163 days.During feeding, the material consumption and weight of each group of pigs were recorded regularly, and their production performance was calculated. After the end of the experiment,5 pigs were randomly selected for slaughter in each group to observe the slaughter performance and muscle quality of each group. The results show that:Effect of castration peptide vaccine on growth performance: the production performance of uncastrated boars was significantly better than that of castrated boars at 0-108 days of age,and the difference was big(P < 0.05),especially in the age of52-108 days.vatural lowest average daily weight gain in the control group at 109-163 days of age,in addition to the test group was significantly lower than otherⅠ groups control group and test group(P < 0.05).The feed meat ratio of the natural control Ⅰgroup was the highest and that of the Improvac group was the lowest, and the differences between the two groups were significant(P < 0.05).Effect of castration peptide vaccine on testicular development: testicular weight and testicular index were the lowest in Improvac group and were significantly lower than except test group other groups(P < 0.05);test group Ⅱ Ⅱ of testicular weight is lower, significantly lower than natural control group(P < 0.05),while test Ⅰ,Ⅲgroup and test group is lower than the natural control group but no significant difference(P > 0.05).When slaughtering, the serum testosterone content of Improvac group significantly lower than that of other uncastrated groups(P < 0.05),and the same as that of castration group, with no significant difference(P > 0.05),test Ⅰgroup, test Ⅱ group, test group serum, muscle testosterone and odor scorⅢ e levels were significantly lower than the natural control group(P < 0.05).Effect of castration peptide vaccine on slaughter performance: the fat rate of each group non-castrated was significantly lower than that of the castration control group.Compared with the castrated control group, the back fat thickness of the non-castrated group showed a tendency to decrease and test I group, test II group, test III group compared with castration control group were significant difference(P < 0.05),rates of lean meat, bones and skin were has a tendency to rise, the rate of bone of test Ⅱgroup were significant difference compared with castration group(P < 0.05).Effect of castration peptide vaccine on muscle quality: muscle p H of boar after slaughter an hour of natural control group, test group, were significant difference Ⅲcompared with castration group, test Ⅰ group, test Ⅱ group(P < 0.05).vatural control group, test Ⅲgroup and Improvac group is larger than castration group and experiment group of tender degrees rate(P < 0.05).The content of inosinic acid in Ⅰthe non-castration group was significantly lower than that in the castration group(P <0.05).The proportions of glycine, alanine and phenylalanine in test III group were significantly higher compared with the castration group(P < 0.05),and the alanine was significantly different(P < 0.01).The test Ⅲ group of C20:3n6 and C20:4n6 were significantly higher than castration group(P < 0.05),no significant difference between the other groups. The test group of peanut acid, maleic sinapic acidⅢ significantly lower then other group(P < 0.05).Compared with castration group not castration group of polyunsaturated fatty acid content increased, the highest levels of test group and significant difference compared with castration group(P < 0.05).ⅢIn summary, the growth performance of uncastrated boars at 0-108 days of age is significantly better than that of neutered boars. The immune castration of two kinds of experimental castration peptide vaccine and Improvac vaccine can improve the growth, slaughter and meat quality of boars.Improvac vaccine has more advantages in growth performance and inhibition of testicular development and reduce the odor in boars. The experimental vo.1 castration peptide vaccine was more prominent in slaughter performance and muscle storage. The experimental vo.2 peptide vaccine has significant advantages in improving meat quality.
