| In order to find out the effects of potato maize intercropping with different row ratios on potato growth, yield, tuber nutritional quality and sugar content, the row ratio of potato maize intercropping suitable for popularization and application in Central Guizhou was selected, which provided theoretical basis for high yield and high efficiency cultivation mode of potato and sustainable development of agriculture. In this study, maize monoculture(CK_m)and potato monoculture(CK)were used as control.Three row ratio intercropping systems,T1(potato:maize=3:2),T2(potato:maize=2:2)and T3(potato:maize=1:2),were established. The changes of potato morphological characteristics, yield, intercropping advantages, tuber nutritional quality and some sugar substances under different row ratio intercropping were analyzed and compared. The results are as follows.1.Compared with potato monoculture, plant height increased with the decrease of row ratio of intercropping potato, and T3 intercropping model had the highest plant height.T1 and T2 intercropping promoted the leaf number, leaf area, stolon number and dry matter accumulation of potato organs, while T3 intercropping decreased the leaf number, leaf area, stolon number and dry matter accumulation of potato organs, which was not conducive to potato growth.Intercropping had no significant effect on potato stem diameter and tuber number.2.Intercropping had significant effect on the weight of single potato and yield per unit area, but had no significant effect on the number of tubers per plant.Compared with monoculture, the average weight of single tuber increased by 13.59%in T1intercropping,decreased by 4.28%and 18.76%in T2 and T3 intercropping. The average yield per unit area of T1 and T2 intercropping increased by 20.31%and 6.80%respectively,while that of T3 intercropping decreased by 11.61%.The average land equivalent ratio of T1(LER=1.168)and T2(LER=1.090)is greater than 1,which has significant advantages in intercropping production, while T3 has a yield disadvantage.T1 and T2 also have obvious economic advantages(T1>T2).Potato was the competitive dominant species in T1(A_P>0)and had significant contribution to the yield of T1 and T2 intercropping(T2>T1).Maize was the competitive dominant species in T2 and T3,and had significant contribution to the yield of T2 and T3intercropping(T3>T2).3 Compared with monoculture, intercropping had no significant effect on soluble protein, vitamin C and starch content of tuber, but had significant effect on amino acid, reducing sugar and sucrose content.Amino acid content of T1,T2 and T3 intercropping increased by 20.84%,38.34%and 17.66%,and the average reducing sugar content decreased by 6.36%,7.00%and 7.16%respectively,and the average sucrose content of T2 and T3 decreased by 10.57%and 11.96%respectively.4.Starch content in tuber was negatively correlated with fructose content in leaf and soluble sugar, sucrose, fructose and reducing sugar content in tuber, while sucrose content and starch content in leaf and stolon had the same trend.Compared with potato monoculture, intercropping significantly reduced the contents of soluble sugar, starch, sucrose and fructose in potato leaves, and generally decreased with the decrease of row ratio of intercropping potato. The effect of T3 intercropping was significant, and the effect of intercropping on the contents of sugars in stolon and tuber was similar to that of leaves.Intercropping significantly reduced SS activity and starch phosphorylase activity of leaves and stolons, but had no significant effect on SPS activity and amylase activity. |
