Clinical Analysis Of Cases About Feline Infectious Peritonitis In Urumqi

Feline infectious peritonitis(Feline Infectious Peritonitis,FIP)is one of the clinically important infectious diseases of pets.There are two biotypes of pathogenic cat coronavirus.Feline infectious peritonitis virus can be produced by a highly contagious but low-toxic Feline enteric coronavirus mutation,it can cause fatal FIP,and the mortality rate can reach 95%without treatment In order to alleviate the suffering of cats and reduce the economic losses of the owners,it is inevitable to conduct medical record analysis.Objective:to investigate the incidence of FIP in Urumqi,establish a diagnostic process for diagnosing FIP with high accuracy,explore effective treatments for FIP,and summarize effective prevention measures of FIP.Methods:collected 58 cases which was diagnosed with FIP by clinical examination in 4 animal hospital in Urumqi,analyzed the test results of the collected or submitted samples,summarized the common items between the test results,looked for specific symptoms or indicators,and stablished FIP clinical examination process.After collating the collected information,the statistical software was used to analyze the data and summarize the correlation between the varieties,gender,age,and seasonal factors between cases;Provided treatment to those had agreed to treatment and verify the effectiveness of the reported treatments;summarize the analysis results,and clinical diagnosis and treatment experiences,and provided preventive measures.Results:(1)Among the 58 FIP cases,the breeds with higher incidence are British shorthair cats(43.1%)and Chinese rural cats(25.8%).0～6 months cats have higher incidence rate(51.72%).Male cats have higher incidence rate(74.14%)than female cate(25.87%).Purebred cats have higher incidence rate(68.97%)than hybrid cats(31.03%).Urumqi autumn is the season of high FIP incidence(47.62%);(2)The main symptoms of FIP are large amount of fluid in the chest and abdominal cavity,sometimes accompanied by fever,depression,loss of appetite,uveitis and other symptoms.The fluids of exudative FIP all have the following common traits:yellow to yellow-green in color,no bacteria are found in the microscopic examination,the Rivalta test is positive,and FCoV RNA can be detected by RT-qPCR.These are consistent with the experience of the existing clinical diagnosis and treatment of exudative FIP.By examining the effusion,a preliminary diagnosis of FIP can be made;(3)Typical cases show that GS-441524 dose have a good effect on the two FIP cats received treatment,which can be provided a reference for future clinical veterinary treatment of FIP.Conclusions:Purebred cats,young cats less than 6 months old,and male cats are the high-incidence group of FIP,and Urumqi autumn is the high-incidence period of FIP.Examination of pleural and peritoneal effusion in the effected cats is of certain value for the diagnosis and elimination of exudative FIP.Gs-441524 has an effect on the exudative and non-exudative FIP involved in the treatment in this studyTalking measure such as isolation,reducing stress,and heat preservation for high-incidence groups and high-incidence seasons can prevent FIP to a certain extent.
