| Feline infectious peritonitis(FIP)is a mutation of the feline corona virus(FCo V)and is a highly lethal disease. The disease is mainly susceptible to adult or young cats under 2years of age, other age can also be infected.FIP usually occur in multi-cat homes, shelters or Cat breeding base. The pathogen can infect not only cats but also ferrets, and the disease cycle varies widely, from rapid onset within a week to weeks or even months. With the increasing number of urban cats in our country, the incidence of the disease in our country is spreading trend.Based on the investigation of 86 cases of feline infectious peritonitis diagnosed and treated in 6 pet hospitals in Longgang District,Shenzhen between January to December of the 2021,the clinical investigation and case analysis were carried out.Diagnosis was made by means of medical history, clinical physical examination, effusion analysis, complete blood count, serum biochemistry,SAA,x-ray,ultrasonography,MRI and polymerase chain reaction(PCR)techniques, the incidence month, air temperature, feeding environment, age, sex, breed, typing, clinical symptoms and hematology of FIP were recorded and statistically analyzed. The results showed that the highest incidence rate occurred in July(4.49%)and September(2.51%),and the highest incidence rate occurred in July when the average daily temperature was 30 ° C;The difference in the incidence rate between indoor multiple and single cats was not significant; The highest incidence of <1 year(3.48%)and1-2 years(2.95%),with 2 cases at 3 months of age;The incidence of male cat(1.94%)was higher than that of female(1.22%);Siamese cat(3.57%)and British Shorthair Cat(2.53%)had the highest incidence of FIP;At present, the wet FIP was the highest(74.42%),the dry rate was 23.26%,with 53 cases of ascites(53/69);The main clinical symptoms were fever(47.67%),jaundice(53.49%),loss of appetite(76.74%),emaciation(65.12%)and abdominal distension(54.65%);microcythemia was detected in 29.8% of FIP Cats and hematocrit was below normal in 49.3%,Hyperglobulinemia(89.7%)and hyperbilirubinemia(60.3%)were more common, the A:G equal or less than 0.6(83.8%)and SAA(100%)higher than usual. In this study,we selected classic case of wet FIP and dry FIP for analysis, although the clinical symptoms of the two cases were different, but through the history investigation, comprehensive physical examination, laboratory examination and imaging examination,Finally, antiviral therapy and adjuvant therapy were carried out according to the condition and achieved good results. |
