| ObjectiveChronic kidney disease(CKD)is a serious threat to human health.Health Information Literacy(HIL)is of great significance in the health management of CKD patients.To know the HIL status of CKD patients and provide a reference for CKD health management,this study developed a HIL questionnaire for CKD patients,which was based on the concept HIL.This study provided a applicable tool for CKD HIL assessment.MethodsThe CKD health information literacy questionnaire was developed through the Delphi method and the convenience of sample survey,etc.This study was divided into two stages:initial questionnaire preparation and questionnaire testing.(1)In the initial questionnaire preparation stage,a research group was set up to review the literature about HIL and form the items pool.Then the initial questionnaire was completed based on the pre-study.Two rounds of Delphi method was used and 18 experts was invited to evaluate the initial questionnaire.We modified the questionnaire based on the experts’opinions and formed a pre-test questionnaire for HIL of CKD.(2)In the questionnaire testing stage,pre-survey implemented for items screening,formal surveys were implemented for validity and reliability testing.In addition,language processing and debugging were implemented before the pre-survey so that patients can understand the questionnaire better.Subsequently,100 CKD patients were surveyed in the pre-survey.Item analysis was performed by critical ratio,correlation analysis,internal consistency analysis,and component analysis.Items that did not meet the criteria were deleted.So the HIL questionnaire for CKD(initial version)was formed.210 patients were surveyed in the formal test,and the reliability and validity of the questionnaire were tested.The reliability test included internal consistency reliability and test-retest reliability.The validity test includes content validity and structure validity.Results(1)In the questionnaire preparation stage,two rounds of Delphi method with 18 experts were conducted in this study.The positive coefficients were both 100%.The expert authority coefficients were 0.87 and 0.90 respectively.The Kendall coordination coefficients of were 0.184 and 0.316(P<0.001),and the coefficients of variation were 0.07~0.41 and 0~0.24.According to the expert opinions,we modified and deleted the items.A 30-item pre-test questionnaire was formed.(2)In the questionnaire testing stage,two items were modified through the language debugging.In the pre-survey,the effective recovery rate of the questionnaire was 100%.Six items were deleted after the item analysis,and the HIL questionnaire for CKD(initial version)was formed.The effective recovery rate of the formal survey was 95.2%.The reliability and validity test showed that:①Content validity:according to 18 experts opinions in two rounds of Delphi method,the questionnaire had a good content validity.②Structural validity:after exploratory factor analysis,6 factors are extracted,and the cumulative variance contribution rate is 70.742%.Although a dimension was added from the initial conception,the structure of the questionnaire conformed to the concept of HIL,and was more reasonable,so the questionnaire has a good structural validity.③Reliability test:the Cronbach’s a coefficient of the questionnaire was 0.922,the Cronbach ’ sα coefficient of each dimension was 0.722～0.939,and the test-retest reliability was 0.584~0.862.Finally,the HIL Questionnaire for CKD was formed include 24 items with 6 dimensions.ConclusionThis study developed the HIL questionnaire for CKD,through literature review,Delphi method,item analysis,factor analysis,and reliability and validity testing,which had good reliability and validity.The questionnaire can provide a suitable tool for the HIL assessment for CKD patients,and a theoretical reference for the health management of clinical CKD patients. |
