| ObjectiveThis study used SLE full course chronic disease management centered on integrated treatment of traditional Chinese and western medicine to intervene patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)with full course chronic disease management,preliminary exploration of the clinical value of this management model through the evaluation of patient’ s disease activity index,quality of life in traditional Chinese medicine,anxiety,depression and patient self-management ability,which provide references for clinical SLE treatment and selection of chronic disease management programs.MethodsThis study adopted case before and after comparison.From the dermatology clinic of Guangdong Province TCM Hospital,50 patients with SLE who met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria were continuous recruitment for a SLE full course chronic disease management centered on integrated treatment of traditional Chinese and western medicine,included the establish of electronic health files,evaluation of the condition before treatment and evaluation of the efficacy after treatment,choice of treatment plans and participation in pharmaceutical care,monitoring and follow up during treatment,mental health education and health science promotion and so on.The observation period is 6 months.The research tools include SLE activity index(SLEDAI),health status scale of TCM(TCM-HSS),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS),and self health management ability assessment scale for chronic disease patients and the results before and after the intervention were evaluated and analyzed.Results1.A total of 50 patients with SLE who met the criteria were included in this study and 4 patients fell off during the study.The actual number of patients included was 46.The ratio of male to female was 1:10.5,and the average age was 41.54±12.20,and the average SLEDAI score was 8.56±3.94.2.Chronic disease management can reduce the patient’ s disease activity index,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Chronic disease management can improve the overall TCM health status of the patients,of which the differences in physical items are not statistically significant(P>0.05),and the differences in the items of Energy,pain,diet,stool,urinate,sleep and mood are statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Use SDS and SAS as evaluation indicators,the prevalence of anxiety and depression among the included patients were 30.4%and 39.1%respectively;chronic disease management can relieve the anxiety and depression of patients,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.Chronic disease management can improve the patient’ s self-health management ability,and the differences in all dimensions are statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionThe SLE full course chronic disease management centered on integrated treatment of traditional Chinese and western medicine for SLE patients contribute to relieve the patient’s anxiety,depression and improve the self-management ability of the patient,which has a positive significance for the relief of patient’s condition and the improvement of patient’s quality of life.The results of this study can provide a preliminary basis for chronic disease management in SLE. |
