| ObjeciveObserve the application of 3D printed titanium alloy fusion cage and traditional polyetheretherketone(PEEK)fusion cage in the treatment of continuous two-segment anterior cervical discectomy and interbody fusion(Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion,ACDF)Short-term treatment effect of cervical spondylosis.Materials and methodsA retrospective analysis of 68 patients with cervical spondylosis who underwent continuous double-segment ACDF in our department from February 2019 to February 2020 were divided into 3D group and PEEK group. The 3D group used 3D printed titanium alloy fusion during the operation In the PEEK group,a traditional PEEK fusion cage was used during the operation. The average operation time, intraoperative blood loss and postoperative hospital stay of the two groups of patients were compared and analyzed. At the same time, the average Cobb angle and intervertebral space of the responsible segment were recorded before and 3 days,3 months,6 months, and 12 months after the operation.Height,Japanese Orthopedic Association(JOA)Cervical Spondylopathy Score,Visual Analogue Scale(VAS).SPSS 21.0 statistical software was used for data processing,P<0.05.ResultsThere was no significant difference between the two groups of patients in general data before operation(P>0.05).Intra-group comparison:The average height of the intervertebral space of the fusion segment and the physiological curvature of the cervical spine in each evaluation period after the operation were significantly restored compared with the preoperation, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).JOA and VAS scores were significantly improved compared with those before operation, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparison between groups:There was no significant difference in the average height of the fusion segment intervertebral space and the physiological curvature of the cervical spine before and 3 days after the operation(P>0.05).The comparison at 12 months after operation was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in intraoperative blood loss and postoperative hospital stay between the two groups(P>0.05),while the operation time of the 3D group was less than that of the PEEK group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in JOA and VAS scores between the two groups of patients before operation,3 days after operation and 3 months after operation(P<0.05),while the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionsThrough the short-term follow-up of continuous two-segment ACDF in the treatment of cervical spondylosis,3D printed titanium alloy interbody fusion cages and traditional polyetheretherketone interbody fusion cages can effectively improve the patient’s clinical symptoms, reconstruct the curvature of the cervical spine, and restore the height of the cervical intervertebral space. As well as reducing the pain of the patient.Observing from the middle and late follow-up period, the 3D printed titanium alloy interbody fusion cage may have more advantages in maintaining the physiological curvature of the cervical spine and the height of the fusion intervertebral space. |
