| Objective:To investigate the risk factors of mucoid degeneration of the anterior cruciate ligament(ACL-MD),the tibal anatomical parameters of the knee joint of patients with ACL-MD and ACL intact were measured by magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).Methods:25 patients with ACL-MD were collected in this study, including 9males and 16 females. There were 35 patients in the control group, including 12 males and 23 females All samples were confirmed by professional orthopedic surgeons in the magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).lateral tibial slope(LTS)and medial tibial slope(MTS),the medial tibial plateau depth(MTPD),the tibial plateau coronal tilt angle, the transverse diameter of the tibial plateau, the sagittal length of the medial and lateral tibial plateau(SLMTP、SLLTP).Analyze the risk factors between the above parameters and ACL-MD.Results:1.There were no significant differences in gender and age side between the two groups(p>0.05).Compared with the control group, the posterior slope of the lateral tibial plateau(p=0.000)was larger, while the the medial tibial plateau depth(p=0.001)had the reverse effect, and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).The group of ACL-MD and the control group did not differ significantly in terms of the posterior slope of the medial tibial plateau, the tibial plateau coronal tilt angle, the transverse diameter of the tibial plateau, the sagittal length of the medial and lateral tibial plateau(SLMTP、SLLTP).2.The males group tends to have more bigger or longer of the transverse diameter of the tibial plateau, the sagittal length of the medial and lateral tibial plateau(P=0.000)than female group, however there were no significant differences in the posterior slope of the medial and lateral tibial plateau(MTS),the medial tibial plateau depth(MTPD),the tibial plateau coronal tilt angle(p >0.05).3.Compared the males population in the control group, the males in ACL-MD had a larger the posterior slope of the lateral tibial plateau(P=0.0031)and a smaller the medial tibial plateau depth(P=0.0043).4.Compared the females population in the control group, the females in ACL-MD had a larger the posterior slope of the lateral tibial plateau(P=0.002)and a smaller the medial tibial plateau depth(0.011).Binary logistic regression analysis showed that Lateral tibial slope and the depth of medial tibial plateau were important risk factors for ACL-MD.Increased Lateral tibial slope and decreased depth of medial tibial plateau may be risk factors for ACL-MDConclusions:When measuring the anatomical parameters of proximal tibia by MRI,the shallower medial tibial plateau depth and the greater lateral posterior tibial angle were risk factors for mucoid degeneration of the anterior cruciate ligament(ACL-MD).Compare with women, men have a wider tibial mediolateral dimension and the sagittal length of the medial tibial plateau, and the sagittal length of the lateral tibial plateau. |
