| ObjectiveThe randomized controlled trials(RCTs)were used to evaluate the efficacy of electroacupuncture combined with the Internet interactive feedback model in the treatment of obesity and the differences between deploying this combination and using the Internet interactive feedback model alone. This paper serves to propose new direction for clinical management of obesity.Methods72 people who met the inclusion criteria from July 2020 to February 2021 were divided into two groups according to the order of entry and the pre-treatment hyperparameter generated by the SPSS26.0 software. The population will be randomly assigned to either Lifestyle intervention group or the Electroacupuncture Group. Both groups consist of 36 individuals respectively.Acupuncture points in the Electroacupuncture group:Zhongwan,Tianshu,Watercourse,Guanyuan,Quchi,Shangjuxu,Sanyinjiao.Electroacupuncture treatment:Electroacupuncture was added to the acupuncture points on both Tianshu and Shangjuxu.Electroacupuncture and density wave were selected.Intensity was set at general tolerance level of the patient. The treatment was performed twice a week for a total of 12 weeks.During the study, the initial treatment and the end of treatment were used as the visiting points.Weight,Body Mass Index(BMI),waist circumference, and related results of Tsinghua Tongfang body composition analyzer, were compared between the two groups.Results1.A total of 67 subjects were included in this trial, including 33 in the Lifestyle intervention group and 34 in the Electroacupuncture group.During the course of treatment,3 patients in the Lifestyle intervention group withdrew due to their inability to adhere to the treatment schedule.A total of 64 cases were eventually included in the statistical analysis, including 30 cases in the Lifestyle intervention group and 34 cases in the lectroacupuncture group. The drop-off rates of the two groups were 9.1%and 0%.2.Baseline comparison of height, age, sex, weight,BMI,waist circumference, and body composition analysis indicators between the two groups were conducted before treatment.Statistical difference(P>0.05),comparable.3.Body Weight,BMI and Waist Circumference.Within group comparison:The difference in body weight,BMI and waist circumference ex ante and ex post treatment in both the Electroacupuncture group and Lifestyle intervention group were statistically significant(P=0.000).Between group comparison:Electroacupuncture group significantly reduces body weight,BMI and waist circumference more than Lifestyle intervention group(P=0.003,P=0.003,P=0.007).It shows that the Electroacupuncture group has a significant advantage in weight reduction, indicating that the curative effect of the Electroacupuncture group is better than the Lifestyle intervention group.4.Body composition indexWithin group comparison:The body composition analysis indicators of the Lifestyle intervention group decreased after the treatment compared with before the intervention, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The body composition analysis indexes of the Electroacupuncture group were also lower than before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).Comparison of components:Body composition analysis indicators(body fat, lean body weight, basal metabolic rate, visceral fat area)are different between the Electroacupuncture group and the Lifestyle intervention group(P<0.05),statistically significant. All parameters and indicators show that the curative effect of the Electroacupuncture group is better than that of the Lifestyle intervention group.ConclusionLifestyle intervention combined with electroacupuncture to treat obesity is an effective treatment method, which can significantly improve body weight,BMI,waist circumference and other physical indicators. However, there is still a gap between its weight reduction effect with the International standards. Therefore more clinical studies are needed to confirm whether the combination of acupuncture on the basis of lifestyle intervention can enhance the effect of weight loss and whether effect is more significant compared with the use of simple lifestyle intervention to treat obesity.Simply using the Internet interactive feedback model to manage lifestyle interventions has only little effect on weight loss in obese patients. On this basis, combining electroacupuncture has a definite effect and few adverse reactions, and it is worthy of widespread clinical promotion. |
