Objective:To investigate the effect of continuous double-tension-reduction scheme of modified super-tension-reduction suture combined with skin tension reduction technology(negative pressurewound therapy, application of Wound Closure Strips)on reducing postoperative scarring of anterolateral thigh flap donor site. Methods:The clinical data of 60 patients with anterolateral thigh free flap removed and directly sutured to close the donor site from October 2017 to March 2021 in Nanchong Central Hospital analyzed.Of these, there were 23 cases(traditional mode group)from October 2017 to May 2019 and 37 cases(double-tension-reduction group)from June 2019 to March 2021.According to the inclusion criteria,12 patients in each group were randomly selected as the traditional group and the double-tension-reduction group, respectively.Vancouver Scar Scale score, itch sensation score and widest scar width were used to compare the scar situation of donor site 6 months after operation between the two groups. Results:Compared with the traditional group, the Vancouver Scar Scale score of postoperative scar in the double-tension-reduction group was lower, the score of pain and itching was lower, and the widest scar width was shorter. The P values of the three indexes were all lower than 0.05,and the differences were statistically significant. Conclusion:The double-tension-reduction scheme for sealing the donor site of anterolateral thigh flap can effectively reduce the tension of the wound edge and reduce the risk of postoperative scar hyperplasia of the incision.
