| Objective:The aim of the study was to investigate the prognostic factors and clinicpathological outcomes of liposarcoma. Methods:We retrospectively examined the clinic-pathological features of a series of 142 patients diagnosed as liposarcoma from January 2014 to August 2018 at Cancer Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical School.134 patients’ follow-up information was collected, which was used to analyze disease-free survival, local recurrence-free survival and distant metastasis-free survival by Kaplan-Meier curve, univariate Cox regression and multivariate Cox regression.Results:89 male patients and 53 female patients were identified. The median age was 55(16-80)years old.35 cases were well-differentiated liposarcomas,46 cases were myxoid liposarcomas,13 cases were dedifferentiated liposarcomas,8 cases were pleomorphic liposarcomas and 39 cases were liposarcomas of unclassifiable type.1 14 cases occurred in extremity and trunk, while 28 cases occurred in retroperitoneum.25 cases were observed local recurrence,10 cases were observed lung metastases,3 cases were observed bone metastases and 4 cases were observed other distant metastases. In univariate analysis, histological grade(HR:1.52 95%CI:1.07-2.16 p=0.018),site(HR:1.43 95%CI:1.14-1.8 p=0.002),surgical margin(HR:4.88 95%CI:1.47-16.12 p=0.009),size of the tumor(HR:1.48 95%CI:1.14-1.92 p=0.003)and Ki67 level(HR:1.0295%CI:1.01-1.04 p=0.004)were associated with disease-free survival. In multivariate analysis,site(HR:1.42 95%CI:1.08-1.86 p=0.011),surgical margin(HR:10.6895%CI:2.81-40.66 p=0.001),size of tumor(HR:1.37 95%CI:1.01-1.05 p=0.041),and Ki67 level(HR:1.03 95%CI:1.01-1.05 p=0.004)were associated with diseasefree survival.Histological grade(HR:1.78 95%CI:1.08-2.94 p=0.023)was associated with distant metastases-free survival. Conclusions:The site, surgical margin, size of tumor and Ki67 level were significantly negative prognostic factors for disease-free survival. And histological grade was negative prognostic factor for distant metastases-free survival. |
