| Objective: To investigate the relationship between plasma omentin-1level and type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)complicated with peripheral artery disease(PAD).Methods: This study was carried out at the department of Endocrinology of the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University.Total 58 adult type 2diabetes patients were recruited from June 2020 to October 2020.According to ultrasound and ABI results, patients were divided into two groups: diabetes without PAD(T2DM,n=20)and diabetes with PAD(T2DM+PAD,n=38).Baseline data of age, gender,BMI,course of disease were collected.Blood was collected intravenously and plasma was separated.Plasma omentin-1level was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),vitamin D level was determined by chemiluminescence method.Data were analyzed by SPSS.Results: Compared with patients in T2 MD group, the age of patient with T2DM+PAD was significantly older((60.55±11.70)vs.49.75±10.31),and the plasma omentin-1 level was significantly lower [16.30(9.64,23.19)vs.11.68(7.10,15.33)].Spearman correlation analysis showed that plasma omentin-1 was negatively correlated with CRP.Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that CRP was the influencing factor of omentin-1(P < 0.05).Logistic regression analysis results showed that omentin-1 and age of type 2diabetes patients were the influencing factors of PAD.Vitamin D levels were not associated with the development of PAD in type 2 diabetes. Conclusion: The decrease of omentin-1 in blood is associated with T2 DM complicated with PAD,and the level of omentin-1 in plasma may be a marker of T2 DM complicated with PAD. |
