Objective:Through the ankle-brachial index(ABI) measurements,to explore patients with type 2 diabetes with ankle-brachial index lower extremity arterial disease(PAD),carotid artery intima-media thickness relationship. Methods:There are 80 patients with type 2 diabetes who are selected in our hospital.ABI of the 80 patients are measured and according to the result, the patients are divided into the PAD group(ABI≤0.9)and the NPAD group(ABI>0.9).All patients in the rest are measured height,weight,FBG,PBG2h,BMI,TG,LDL-C,SBP,DBP,HbAlc.We also calculate BMI(calculated as weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared).Results:1.80 cases of patients with T2DM were diagnosed with PAD color and ABI showed that both the diagnosis of PAD was no significant difference,(P =0.500);and two diagnosed with a factor of kappa=0.950.2.Through comparing the data of the two groups:in sex,TC,HDL-C have no statistical meaning P>0.05.in age, course of disease,FBG,PBG2h,BMI,TG,LDL-C,SBP,DBP,HbAlc have statistical meaning.3.Comparing the data of the two groups IMT have statistical meaning.ABI was negative correlated with IMT.4.Partial correlation analysis show that ABI was negative correlated with age, duration of diabetes,FBG,SBP,TG,LDL-C,BMI,PBG2h.Conclusion:1.ABI is credible measurement of PAD. 2.ABI and IMT was negatively correlated,ABI can also reflect the carotid atherosclerosis extent.3.Course of disease,TG,BMI and PBG2h are the most relative factors of ABI.
