To advance the reform of public health system,the key is to reform public hospitals,which is a systematic program as well.By redressing the compensation system of public hospitals,we may stimulate the initiative of medical staff,thus achieving substantial progress for the general public health system reform.In the November of 2016,the National Medical Reform Agency has acknowledged the effort of Jiangsu province in public hospitals’ compensation system reform,noting it as “practical and replicable for different regions”,that it has provided successful experience for “advancing the reform of compensation system and stimulating the initiative of medical staff”,and Nanjing is one of the pilot cities in Jiangsu province.This research has made questionnaires about how satisfied medical staff are before and after the reform,which will thus be used to assess the reform and investigate the influencing factors.Combined with other researches on people’s compensation satisfaction,this research will make clear the key elements of future reform in public hospitals’ compensation system,and with relative theories and real-life experience,provide some advice for improving it.The theoretical system of this research is established by reading domestic and foreign papers about the concepts,relative theories and research progress of compensation system and compensation satisfaction.A scale has been designed to measure the satisfaction degree before and after Nanjing went through compensation system reforms in municipal hospitals.Factor analysis will be employed to investigate the influencing factors,and by using demographical statistics analysis in variable description,the basic information,different dimensions of salary and satisfaction degree of the participants will be acknowledged.Testing and calculation methods include paired sample t-test and Pearson correlation coefficient,with the former comparing and analyzing the satisfaction degree before and after the reform,the latter displaying correlation analysis on the four dimensions of salary satisfaction.By adopting the independent samples t-test or the one-way ANOVA,the difference of satisfaction changes will be analyzed.Major elements influencing compensation satisfaction will be discussed in the end.Through analysis,the reform calls on more governmental support,so that the medical market can better function,medical workers can be more properly rewarded and their rights safeguarded.To achieve a higher compensation satisfaction degree and promote the potential of medical staff,the system should be redressed into one that orients towards people,justice and efficiency.To vitalize the medical industry and enhance the function of incentives,we should better the compensation system and stabilize the medical talents by establishing a total compensation system and a reward and punishment mechanism.To perfect the distribution system and reasonably differentiate medical workers’ salary levels,we should also normalize a scientific performance distribution system and truly realize it.
