Objective:To investigate the current situation and analyze the influential factors of breast-feeding in hospitalized newborns in Yanbian area.Research ways and basis can be provided for increasing the breast-feeding rate and taking interventions on the clinical treatment.Also the rate of breast-feeding can be improved by helping new mothers grasp the related knowledge scientificly.Methods:from June 2019 to October 2019,325 hospitalized newborn mothers in 8 county and city hospitals in yanbian were surveyed by convenience sampling.The research tools included questionnaire of social demographic characteristics,breast-feeding knowledge scale,self-efficacy scale,feeding attitude scale and social support scale.The collected data were analyzed using SPSS19.0 statistical software package.Results:(1)the awareness rate of breast-feeding among hospitalized newborn mothers is 68.5%,which is in the middle level.The differences of breast-feeding knowledge level in age,education level,family average monthly income,pregnancy history,previous history of breast diseases,and nipple depression were statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)the self-efficacy scores of hospitalized newborn mothers were all 3.33±0.779,which was at a medium level.The differences of self-efficacy in age,education level,family average monthly income,pregnancy history,mode of delivery,previous history of breast diseases,nipple depression,whether it is a full month,newborn sucking power and other factors were statistically signi ficant(P<0.05).(3)the feeding attitudes of hospitalized newborn mothers were all 3.45±0.904,and the differences in feeding attitudes were statistically significant in such factors as the mother’ s occupation,family average monthly income,mode of delivery,previous history of breast diseases,nipple depression,whether the baby was full or not,and the sucking power of the newborn(P<0.05).(4)the total score of breast-feeding social support for hospitalized newborn mothers was 31.76±5.94,which was a medium level.There were significant differences in the occupational status,educational level,maternal nursing factors during hospitalization and after discharge(P<0.05).(5)breast-feeding knowledge,self-efficacy,feeding attitude and social support were significantly different between breast=feeding and non-breast-feeding groups(P<0.05).Breast-feeding knowledge was positively correlated with self-efficacy and feeding attitude.Conclusion:(1)the breast-feeding rate of hospitalized newborns in yanbian was 31.3%,which was at a low level.(2)the awareness rate of breast-feeding knowledge among hospitalized newborn mothers was 68.5%;Breast-feeding knowledge,self-efficacy and social support are at medium level,and feeding attitude is inclined to breast-feeding.(3)the nursing knowledge,self-efficacy,feeding attitude and social support of hospitalized pregnant woman who breast=fed were significantly higher than those who did not breast-feed.(4)the study subjects’ breastfeeding knowledge,self-efficacy and feeding attitude are positively correlated,that is,the more knowledge they have about breastfeeding,the higher their self-efficacy will be and the more positive their feeding attitude will be.
