| Objectives To investigate the expression levels of obestatin and neuropeptide S receptor1(NPSR1)in the serum of patients with functional dyspepsia(FD),and to analyze the relationship between obestatin and NPSR1 and anxiety and depression, the severity of dyspepsia, and the quality of life, and to explore the possible role of obestatin and NPSR1 in FD.This study provides a new theoretical basis for the diagnosis, treatment and pathogenesis of FD.Methods FD patients were included in the outpatient clinic of digestive department of Hebei General Hospital from March 2019 to December 2019 and met the Roman IV diagnostic criteria. At the same time,19 patients were randomly selected as healthy control group(referred to as N group)in the physical examination center of Hebei General Hospital.Self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)score,self-rating depression scale(SDS)score, nepean dyspepsia symptoms index(NDSI)score and nepean dyspepsia quality of life index(NDLQI)score were performed on all subjects.According to the SAS and SDS scores,FD patients were divided into the following two groups: FD patients with anxiety and/or depression(referred to as A group,n=16)and FD patients without anxiety or depression(referred to as B group,n=21).Clinical information, such as gender, age, and BMI was recorded for all subjects.Early morning fasting serum samples were collected and the expression levels of serum obestatin and NPSR1 were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The serum obestatin and NPSR1 expression levels of A、B、N three groups were tested by ANOVA,t test was used to analyze the differences in serum obestatin,NPSR1 expression levels,SAS,SDS,NDSI and NDLQI scores between FD group and healthy control group.Pearson correlation analysis was used to evaluate the correlation between serum NPSR1 and obestatin expression levels and SAS,SDS,NDSI and NDLQI scores. Results 1 Analysis of basic information of the research object:Statistical analysis of gender, age and BMI in A,B and N three groups showed no statistically significant differences(P>0.05).2 Evaluation of the expression levels of serum obestatin and NPSR1:The expression level of obestatin in FD group was significantly higher than that in N group(27.53±7.80 vs.18.34±3.95,P<0.05).Among them, the expression level of obestatin in A group was significantly higher than that in B group(31.79±6.72 vs.24.29±7.08,P<0.05).The expression level of NPSR1 in FD group was significantly lower than that in N group 33.18±10.14 vs.50.27±3.60,P<0.05).Among them, the expression level of NPSR1 in A group was significantly lower than that in B group(28.67±8.21 vs.36.62±10.28,P<0.05).3 Assessment of anxiety and depression:SAS score of FD group was significantly higher than that of N group(48.24±6.22 vs.30.42±4.27,P<0.05),and SDS score of FD group was also significantly higher than that of N group(50.35±7.49 vs.30.68±4.18,P<0.05).4 Assessment of the severity of dyspepsia and quality of life:The NDSI score of FD group was significantly higher than that of N group(45.41±13.10 vs.3.68±1.45,P<0.05),and the NDLQI score of FD group was significantly lower than that of N group(70.97±9.16 vs.98.29±1.49,P<0.05).5 Correlation analysis between the expression levels of serum obestatin and NPSR1 and SAS score and SDS score:Serum obestatin expression level was positively correlated with SAS score(r=0.529,P<0.05),and serum obestatin expression level was positively correlated with SDS score(r=0.527,P<0.05).Serum NPSR1 expression level was negatively correlated with SAS score(r=-0.517,P<0.05),and serum NPSR1 expression level was negatively correlated with SDS score(r=-0.400,P<0.05).6 Correlation analysis between serum obestatin and NPSR1 expression levels and NDSI and NDLQI scores:Serum obestatin expression level was positively correlated with NDSI score(r=0.466,P<0.05),and serum obestatin expression level was negatively correlated with NDLQI score(r=-0.398,P<0.05).Serum NPSR1 expression level was negatively correlated with NDSI score(r=-0.442,P<0.05),and serum NPSR1 expression level was positively correlated with NDLQI score(r=0.405,P<0.05).Conclusions 1 The increased expression of Obestatin in FD patients may be involved in regulating the feeding behavior and anxiety and depression in FD patients.2 The reduced expression of NPSR1 in FD patients may be involved in regulating the feeding behavior anxiety and depression in FD patients.3 Obestatin,NPSR1 is related to dyspepsia symptoms and quality of life in FD patients.Figure [0];Table [5];Reference [153]... |
