| Objective: to investigate the prevalence of LPRD in out-patient department of otorhinolaryngology department of tertiary first class hospital in Haikou area,so as to deepen people’s understanding of LPRD and raise people’s vigilance to LPRD,and to analyze the related risk factors of LPRD.To provide the guidance of behavioral intervention for the occurrence of LPRD,and to formulate reasonable preventive measures for the clinical.Methods: A systematic sampling method was used to distribute a common questionnaire to the out-patients in the department of otorhinolaryngology,tertiary first class hospital in Haikou city,Hainan province(including the First Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical College,the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical College,Hainan Provincial People’s Hospital).The questionnaire included general information,(RSI)score of reflux symptom index and related risk factors.RSI score > 13 was positive,RSI score ≤ 13 was negative,and SPSS software was used for statistical analysis.Results:The prevalence of LPRD was 9.12% in 2500 questionnaires.The overall difference of the prevalence of LPRD among different age groups was compared,and the difference was statistically significant between the two groups(?2=28.351,p<0.01).The prevalence of LPRD increased with the increase of age.The prevalence rate was the lowest in the 18-year-old 27-year-old group and the highest in the58-year-old 67-year-old group.RSI scores were most correlated with symptoms of "cough after meals or after lying down",and with "hoarseness or dysarthria","continuous voice clearing","excessive sputum or runny reflux" and "foreign matter feeling in the throat".Strong tea and smoking were risk factors for LPRD.The smoking index Grade 1,Grade 2,and Grade 3 were the risk factors for LPRD’s disease with respect to the smoking index grade 0,and according to the OR value,we can conclude that the smoking index 2 and 3 levels have a greater correlation with the LPRD.The prevalence of LPRD was 9.12% in the out-patients of otorhinolaryngology department of tertiary first class hospital in Haikou area.The prevalence of LPRD was closely related to age,and the prevalence rate increased with the increase of age,and the prevalence rate was the highest in the age of 58 to 67 years.The prevalence of LPRD is associated with frequent drinking of strong tea and smoking.Smoking increases the risk of LPRD’s illness,a long-term number of smokers,and more alert to the LPRD.The five symptoms of "Cough after dinner or after lying","the sense of foreign body in the throat","excessive phlegm or rhinorrhea","sound or sound",and "continuous clearing" have a strong correlation with the LPRD,and those with one or more of the above five symptoms need to be alert to the occurrence of the LPRD. |
