A Social Work Practice Study On Reducing The Stigma Of People With Mental Disorders In Stable Period

The incidence of mental disorders has risen in modern society,and people with mental disorders generally have a higher level of stigma.The sense of stigma has a lasting negative impact on the normal life,social interaction and treatment progress of people with mental disorders,which is not conducive to the rehabilitation of their physical and mental state and the recovery of social function.At present,the domestic research on the mental stigma of people with mental disorders mainly focuses on the theoretical analysis of medical and psychological perspectives,mainly carried out by psychiatric nurses and other relevant personnel engaged in psychiatry.Research from the perspective of social work and intervention research are inadequate.Under the guidance of social construction theory and cognitive behavior theory,this study elaborated and analyzed the performance and related influencing factors of stigma of people with mental disorders in stable period,and through the social work methods of group work and case follow-up,by deconstructing the irrational internalization of people with mental disorders in the stable period,acquiring a reasonable way to deal with the stigma,and alleviating the negative emotions brought by the stigma experience,intervening in the four aspects of their cognition,behavior,emotion,family and medical support,with a view to reducing the stigma of people with mental disorders in stable period.This study draws conclusions by comparing the survey data,interviews and observation records of the questionnaire before and after: Through the intervention of social work,the stigmatization level of people with mental disorders in stable period has been reduced.This intervention is both feasible and effective.Finally,the author reflects on this practical study,and on the basis of summarizing the shortcomings of this study,puts forward relevant suggestions on the issue of reducing the stigma of people with mental disorders in stable phase,such as personal coping,family support,and residential care In terms of community rehabilitation,social environment,etc.,which provides a reference for future social work service practice.
