Effect Of Sunid Sheep Tail Oil On Lifetime And Sex Hormone Expression Of Spontaneously Hypertensive Rats

Sunid sheep is a kind of sheep breed with large fat tail,but its fat utilization rate is not high,and life span and sex hormone has not been studied.The purpose of this study was to study the effects of Sunid tail oil intake on life span and sex hormone expression,and to explore the unique efficacy of Sunid tail oil.In this study,we used 10 week old spontaneously hypertensive rats(SHR)to design four groups:sheep tail oil group,D oil group(negative control),H oil group(positive control)and C oil group(positive control).Sunid sheep tail oil,D oil,H Oil and C oil were added to the standard feed at the ratio of 1:9.The body weight and blood pressure were measured every week;three rats in each group were dissected to determine the sex hormone expression in blood and testis at three months;the remaining groups were fed until death.The results show that:(1)Three months later,the blood pressure of male SHR rats in Sunid sheep tail oil group,D oil group,H oil group and C oil group were 180±3 mmHg,182±0 mmHg,196±8 mmHg and 198±11 mmHg,respectively.Compared with the blood pressure at the begnning of the experiment,the blood pressure of SHR rats fed with sheep tail oil was controlied,especially the blood pressure of male rats in positive control group was higher than that of sheep.The blood pressure in tail oil group in creased three times more than that in control group(P<0.05).The blood pressure of female rats was 167±2mmhg,167±6 mmhg,167±3 mmHg and 178±8 mmhg respectively.After three months,the blood pressure increased by 31 mmhg,35 mmhg,34 mmhg and 43 mmhg respectively.Blood pressure was controlled in the SHR rats that ingested Sunid sheep tail oil.(2)The survival rate of SHR rats with Sunita sheep tail oil was up to 572 days,and the intake of Sunita sheep tail oil significantly prolonged the life span of SHR rats.(3)The testosterone secretion of male SHR rats in the experimental group was 2900 ± 21.21pg/ml,which was higher than that of D oil group(2500±28.95pg/ml),significantly higher than that of H oil group(1900±25.60pg/ml,P＜0.05)and C oil group(1000±9.05pg/ml,P<0.01).Compared with the control group,the expression of star(P<0.05),CYP11A1(P<0.05)and CYP17A1(P<0.05)in Sunit sheep tail fat intake group were significantly higher than those in control group.Sheep tail oil can promote testosterone secretion and related gene expression.In a word,Sunid sheep tail oil can relieve blood pressure and prolong life span of SHR rats,and protect male reproductive function.
