Evaluation Of Clinical Curative Effects Of Canghuo Tongqiao Powder Treatment On Acute Sinusitis In Children With Wind-heat Syndrome In Lung

Objective : To observe the clinical effect of Canghuo Tongqiao Powder in the treatment of children acute sinusitis with Wind-heat Syndrome in Lung.Methods:A total of 112 patients,who were consistent with the Western medicine diagnosis of acute sinusitis in children and the traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis of Wind-heat Syndrome in Lung,were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,with 56 patients in each group,and all of them were from the pediatrics clinic of the Affiliated Hospital of Shanxi University of Chinese Medicine,and they.The treatment group was given oral treatment with Canghuo Tongqiao Powder and the control group was given oral treatment with Biyuan Tongqiao Granules.From the date of treatment,a course of treatment was performed every 7 days for both groups,and the patient information was recorded at the end of each course.All the children in the two groups were treated for two courses,each course lasted for 7 days,and were compared by statistical methods.Results:Totally,103 patients were selected,including 52 in the treatment group and51 in the control group.After analysis and comparison,there was no statistical difference in age,gender and symptoms before treatment between the two groups,which was comparable.In terms of curative effect,there was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group after 7 days of treatment(P > 0.05),indicating that the curative effect of the two groups was equivalent,but there was significant difference between the treatment group and the control group after 14 days of treatment(P < 0.05).The effective rate of the treatment group was 90.38%,and that of the control group was80.39%,indicating that the curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.In terms of symptom improvement,there were significant differences in cough scores between the two groups after 7 days and 14 days of treatment(P < 0.05),indicating that the improvement of cough in the treatment group was better than that in the control group.There was no significant difference in nasal congestion,headache,olfactory disturbance,turbinate enlargement and nasal mucosal congestion between the two groups after 7 days and 14 days of treatment(P > 0.05),indicating that the curative effect of the two groups in the treatment of the above symptoms was similar.In terms of runny nose,nasal secretion and overall score,there was no statistical difference after 7 days of treatment(P > 0.05),but there was statistical difference after 14 days of treatment(P <0.05),indicating that the treatment group had the same improvement in symptoms as the control group on 7 days of treatment,while the treatment group was better than the control group on 14 days of treatment.In terms of serum C-reactive protein,there was statistical difference between the treatment group and the control group(P < 0.05),but there was no statistical difference between the two groups,indicating that the effect of the two groups was similar.Conclusion:(1)This study proves that Canghuo Tongqiao Powder has clinical efficacy in the treatment of children with acute sinusitis caused by lung heat through wind.(2)Both Canghuo Tongqiao Powder and Biyuan Tongqiao Granules can reduce level of serum C-reactive protein in children with acute sinusitis.
