Objective: To investigate the clinical treatment and prognosis of patients with anterior disc displacement with reduction and anterior disc displacement without reduction during pre-and post-treatment using electromagnetic ballistic extracorporeal shock waves.Methods: A total of 46 patients from the two groups who met the inclusion criteria were collected(anterior disc displacement with reduction group: 30 patients and anterior disc displacement without reduction group: 16 patients).Both groups were treated with electromagnetic ballistic shock wave therapy by comparing the two groups before and after treatment in terms of differences in VAS,Mouth opening,DI value,SDS,SAS,SF-36 and so on.To analyze the therapeutic effects and outcomes of electromagnetic ballistic extracorporeal shock wave therapy in patients with two different degrees of anterior disc displacement of Temporomandibular joint.Results: By statistical analysis of the unequal data in the two groups,the difference between the VAS and Mouth opening pre-and post-treatment was not significantly different after electromagnetic ballistic extracorporeal shock wave physiotherapy.However,extracorporeal shock wave physiotherapy with an electromagnetic trajectory showed more improvement in the DI value,SAS,SDS,and SF-36 scores for the anterior disc displacement without reduction than the anterior disc displacement with reduction.(1)Comparison of VAS scores between the two groups: analyzed by Wilcox test:w=264.5,p-value = 0.5668,ie,P > 0.05),it is known that the electromagnetic ballistic extracorporeal shock wave therapy has no significant difference in the pain relief between the anterior disc displacement with reduction and anterior disc displacement without reduction.(2)Two groups of Mouth opening contrast: analyzed by Wilcox test: w=216,p-value = 0.5867,ie,P > 0.05,it is known that electromagnetic extracorporeal shock wave therapy has no significant difference in improvement of Mouth opening function for both anterior disc displacement with reduction and anterior disc displacement without reduction.(3)The DI values of the two groups were contrasted: analyzed by Wilcox test: w =13.5,p-value = 1.711e-07,that is,P < 0.001,it is known that the effects of electromagnetic extracorporeal shock wave therapy on the anterior disc displacement with reduction and the anterior disc displacement without reduction are significantly different in TMJ disorders.(4)The SAS scores of the two groups were contrasted: anxiety disorder was mild,moderate,and severe(irreducible group: 37.5%,12.5%,6.25%;reproducible group:30%,0,and 0,respectively;analyzed by Wilcox test: w=134.5,p-value=0.01523,that is,P<0.05),so it is known that there is a significant difference between electromagnetic extracorporeal shock wave therapy on the improvement of anxiety between anterior disc displacement with reduction and anterior disc displacement without reduction.(5)Comparison of SDS scores between the two groups: pre-treatment depression mild,moderate,and severe(irreducible group: 31.25%,0,0;reproducible group: 0,0,0),analyzed by Wilcox test: w=91.5,p-value=0.0006114,that is,P< 0.001),it is known that electromagnetic extracorporeal shock wave therapy has significant difference in depression improvement between anterior disc displacement with reduction and anterior disc displacement without reduction.(6)SF-36 scores of the two groups were compared: analyzed by Wilcox test: W 1/4150,p-value 1/4 0.01788,that is,P <0.05,it is known that electromagnetic extracorporeal shock wave therapy has a significant difference in quality of life scores between anterior disc displacement with reduction and anterior disc displacement without reduction.Conclusion:(1)Female patients accounted for a larger proportion of patients with anterior disc displacement of temporomandibular joint.(2)Overall,the effects of electromagnetic extracorporeal shock wave therapy on both the anterior disc displacement with reduction and anterior disc displacement without reduction were excellent.The efficacy of anterior disc displacement without reduction was more significant than that of anterior disc displacement with reduction in DI values,SAS,SDS,and SF-36.(3)Most patients with TMJ structural disorders have physical and psychological disorders,the two of which are assisting and affect each other.For the treatment of structural disorders of the temporomandibular joint,the aspects of physical and mental disorders cannot be ignored.
