Abstract/Summary:
Objective: To explore the clinical value of extracorporeal shock wave(ESW)+ Mackenzie therapy in the treatment of vertebral artery type cervical spondylopathy(CSA)by observing the clinical efficacy and short-term follow-up effect of ESW + Mackenzie therapy in the treatment of vertebral artery type cervical spondylopathy(CSA),so as to provide a new idea and method for clinical treatment of vertebral artery type cervical spondylopathy. Methods: A total of 78 inpatients with vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis who were admitted to the rehabilitation medicine department of Xianwu Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine from May 2020 to December 2020 were collected,of whom4 cases were excluded, and 74 cases were finally included in the study, and randomly divided into group A and group B according to patients’ wishes.A total of 33 patients in group A were treated with extracorporeal shock wave +Mackenzie combined therapy, and 41 patients in group B were treated with traction + Mackenzie combined therapy.Evaluation Scale for Cervical Vertigo(ESCV)and Neck Disability Index(NDI)scores were performed to evaluate the symptoms of the patients before and after treatment, and 1 week of follow-up,respectively.The data obtained were statistically processed using SPSS 26.0.Results:(1)Two groups of patients before treatment of gender, age,ESCV and NDI score no significant statistical difference(P>0.05),part of the comprehensive treatment scheme was statistically difference(P<0.05).(2)After propensity score matching success matching 25 cases, the two groups after the match for age, sex, comprehensive treatment and ESCV,NDI score no significant statistical difference(P>0.05).(3)After comprehensive treatment in the two groups after the match ESCV,NDI score in patients with no significant statistical difference(P>0.05),hospitalization days significantly greater than group B,group A statistically significant.(P<0.05),(4)After 1week of follow-up,the ESCV score in 2 groups was lower than that after treatment(P<0.05),and the ESCV score in group A was higher than that in group B(P<0.05).(5)After 1 week of follow-up,there was no statistical difference in NDI score between group A and after treatment(P>0.05),but the NDI score in group B was higher than that in group B(P<0.05),and the NDI score in group A was lower than that in group B(P<0.05)..Conclusion:(1)Combining ESWT or cervical traction with Mackenzie therapy in the clinical application of CSA can significantly improve dizziness and cervical function in a short time.(2)The combination of ESWT and Mackenzie therapy in the clinical application of CSA has better efficacy, shorter hospital stay and superior efficacy residual effect.
