Clinical Observation On Treating Tension-Type Headache With Modified Dabushen Decoction In Terms Of Kidney-Essence Deficiency And Liver-Qi Growth And Dispersal Asthenia

Objective:To observe and evaluate the efficacy of modified Dabushen decoction in the treatment of tension-type headache(TTH).To explore its clinical effect and mechanism,so as to provide new dialectical thinking and treatment for TCM treatment of TTH.Methods:Seventy patients with tension-type headache who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups using a randomized controlled trial.Thirty-five patients in the treatment group were treated with modified Dabushen decoction.The control group(n = 35)was treated with Eperisone Hydrochloride Tablets.Both groups were treated for 4 weeks.The changes of headache index score and TCM syndrome score in 2 groups before and after treatment were observed.SPSS21.0 statistical software was used for statistical analysis to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the two treatment methods.Results:3 cases fell off during treatment,thus 34 cases in the treatment group and 33 cases in the control group were included in the statistics eventually.Headache index efficacy:the total effective rate of the treatment group was 94.12%,and that of the control group was 87.88%.There was no significant difference in headache degree and headache duration between the two groups after treatment.Nevertheless,there were statistically significant differences in headache index(P=0.000 < 0.01)and frequency of headache attacks(P=0.025 < 0.05)between the two groups,and the treatment group was superior to the other.2.Efficacy of TCM syndromes: The total effective rate of TCM syndromes score in the treatment group was 94.12%,and that in the control group was 75.76%.After treatment,there were statistically significant differences in TCM syndrome comparison between the two groups(P<0.05),in which the treatment group was superior than the control group in improving the symptoms of headache(P=0.048 < 0.05),sleep disturbances(P=0.023 < 0.05),and waist and knee weakness(P=0.020 < 0.05).Conclusion:Modified Dabushen decoction can effectively reduce the headache degree,duration and frequency of attacks in patients with tension-type headache with kidney-essence deficiency syndrome,and significantly improve the TCM syndromes of patients,and there is no obvious adverse reaction during medication.It is considerable to treat tension-type headache in terms of the deficiency of kidney-essence and the growth and dispersal asthenia of liver-qi.
