Objective: To contrast YAP1 and β-catenin’s expression in normal ovarian tissues and Epithelial ovarian cancer tissue and to explore the correlation between the expression e of YAP1 /β-catenin and the clinical and pathological features of EOC.Methods: The expression of YAP1 and β-catenin proteins in 45 case of EOC tissue and 30 cases of normal ovarian tissue were detected separately by immunohistochemistry,And then collected the selected patients’ clinicopathological data,and contrasted these two kinds of proteins’ distinct expression in the term of clinicopathological features by operating chi-square test and to see if there was any connection between them through executing Spearman’s rank correlation coefficientResults:1.The expression of YAP1 in epithelial ovarian cancer tissues:(1.1)The high expression ratio of YAP1 in the EOC tissues was higher than that of normal ovarian tissues(66.67% VS 40%),the difference was statistically(P<0.05);(1.2)The high expression ratio of YAP1 in FIGO III-IV stage was91.67%,while the high expression ratio was only 38.10% in stage I-II,the difference was statistically(P<0.05),the high expression ratio of YAP1 in the low-middle differentiation group was 84%,in the developed group was 45%,the difference was statistically(P<0.05);the high expression ratio of YAP1 in the group of having distant metastasis was 88%,in the opposite group,the percentage of high expression was 40%,the difference was statistically(P<0.05);the expression of YAP1 was connected to FIGO stage,differentiate degree and distant metastasis of patients with EOC,the difference was statistically(P < 0.05),and was not associated with age,histological type and tumor size of patients with EOC(P>0.05);2.The expression of β-catenin in epithelial ovarian cancer tissues:(2.1)The high expression ratio of β-catenin in the EOC tissues was higher than that of normal ovarian tissues(62.22% VS 30%),the difference was statistically(P<0.05);(2.2)The high expression ratio of β-catenin protein in FIGO III-IV stage was 79.20%,while the high expression ratio was only42.90% in stage I-II stage,the difference was statistically(P<0.05),the expression of β-catenin was associated with FIGO stage of patients with EOC,the difference was statistically(P<0.05),and there was no connection to age,histological type,tissues’ differentiation and tumor size of patients with EOC(P>0.05);3.There was a kind of positive association with the expression of YAP1 and β-catenin in EOC tissues(r=0.421,P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The high expression ratio of YAP1,β-catenin in EOC was higher than the normal ovarian tissue(66.67% VS 40%,62.22% VS30%),and the expression of YAP1 was connected to FIGO stage(III-IV stage VS I-II stage,91.67% VS 38.10%),differentiate degree(low-middle differentiation group VS developed group,84%VS45%)and distant metastasis(having VS not having,88% VS 40%),and the expression of β-catenin was associated with FIGO stages(III-IV stage VS I-II stage,79.20% VS 42.90%),suggesting that YAP1,β-catenin may be associated with the occurrence and development of EOC;2.The expression of YAP1 and β-catenin in EOC is positively correlated,and the combination of the two may provide more basis for the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer.
