Objective:To explore the correlation between ABO blood types and the prognostic of acute lower extremity deep venous thrombosis(LEDVT).Methods:A retrospective analysis of clinical data and 1-year follow-up data with LEDVT was performed in patients admitted to the Department of Vascular Surgery, the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College from January 1,2017 to June 30,2019.After screening according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,a total of 227 patients were enrolled, and divided into an O blood group(89 cases)and a non-O blood group(138 cases)according to their blood types.Observation statistics compared between the two groups included(a)swelling rate of the affected limb, thrombus clearance rate, urokinase dosage, thrombolytic time, hospital stay and complication rate obtained during hospitalization, and(b)thrombosis recurrence rate, incidence of post thrombotic syndrome(PTS)and Villalta scores obtained after one-year follow-up,with the impact of ABO blood types on the prognosis of LEDVT being analyzed. With the 227 patients being divided into a PST group(64 cases)and a non-PTS group(163 cases)according to whether PTS occurred or not, single factor and multivariate analyses were used to compare the clinical data and binary logistic regression analysis was used to explore the risk factors of PTS.Results:The incidence of PTS,Villalta scores and venous patency scores(S2)of LEDVT patients in the non-O blood group were higher than those in the O blood group, the difference being was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05)between the two groups in the PTS classification, swelling rate of the affected limb, thrombus clearance rate, urokinase dosage, thrombolytic time, hospital stay, thrombosis recurrence rate, and complication rate. The binary logistic regression model tests showed that the statistically significant indicators included:ABO blood types(OR=4.337;95%CI:1.628-11.550;P=0.003),D-dimer levels after treatment(OR=1.116;95%CI:1.027-1.214;P=0.010),comorbi tumors(OR=6.679;95%CI:1.451-30.749;P=0.015),treatment methods(OR=0.230;95%CI:0.100-0.530;P=0.001),thrombus clearance rates(OR=0.900;95%CI:0.845-0.959;P=0.001)and thrombosis recurrence(OR=97.628;95%CI:14.804-643.813;P<0.001).Conclusion:The non-O blood types was an independent risk factor for PTS in patients with acute LEDVT.Therefore,in the treatment of LEDVT,ABO blood types should be considered with the factors affecting the therapeutic effects, and more active treatment and earlier PTS preventive strategy should be adopted in patients with the non-O blood types.
