| Objective:To investigate the status quo and influencing factors of career calling,occupational commitment and job satisfaction of nurses in the department of oncology of tertiary first-class general hospital in Anhui province.To explore the correlation between career calling,occupational commitment and job satisfaction of nurses in oncology department,and to provide reference for improving job satisfaction of nurses in the oncology department and stabilizing the nursing team in the oncology department.Methods:A quantitative and qualitative study design was expected to be adopted.In the first stage,a total of 744 qualified oncology nurses from 12 third-class A hospitals in Anhui Province were included as the research objects by using the method of quantitative study using cluster sampling.The general demographic questionnaire,Career Calling Questionnaire of 12,Nurse Professional Commitment Scale and Mc Closkey/Mueller Satisfaction Scale were used to conduct a questionnaire survey.SPSS 25.0 software was used for t test,one-way analysis of variance,Pearson correlation analysis and Process Model 4 test for mediating effect.In the second stage,using the qualitative research method,according to the principle of purposiveness sampling,fully considering the differences in level and nursing age,etc.,according to whether the new sample can provide new connotation for the development of the theory,we determined to conduct semi-structured interviews with 8 oncology nurses.Colaizzi’s method is used to conduct data analysis to determine the topic,so as to get close to the actual work and life of oncology nurses,dig deeply into the deep connotation of nurses’ occupational calling and occupational commitment,and grasp the detailed status of job satisfaction of oncology nurses,as a supplement to the quantitative study.Results:1.The career calling score of oncology nurses was(3.50±0.66)points;The score of occupational commitment was(3.40±0.56),and the scores of each dimension from high to low were economic cost commitment,normative commitment,emotional commitment,emotional cost commitment and opportunity commitment.The score of job satisfaction was(3.35±0.62),and from highest to lowest were the relationship between colleagues,being praised and recognized for work,control and responsibility for work,social opportunities,opportunities for career development,work schedules,welfare benefits and balance between family and work.2.Career calling was affected by age,educational background,personnel status,working years,personal annual income,monthly night shift and one-way commuting time,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Occupational commitment was influenced by age,personnel status,working years,personal annual income,monthly night shift and one-way commuting time,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Job satisfaction was influenced by age,professional title,working years,personal annual income,monthly night shift and one-way commuting time,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.From quantitative research in the participants to select eight interview nursing staff,final interview from pain relief,assist doctors,work itself,holiness and a sense of achievement and so on 29 secondary category,and then induces the professional understanding of cost,employment,career,career development,professional advantage,professional six major categories.4.Career calling was positively correlated with job satisfaction(r=0.651,P<0.01);Occupational commitment was positively correlated with job satisfaction(r=0.631,P<0.01).5.The regression analysis results showed that Career calling,occupational commitment and professional title nurse were the main factors affecting job satisfaction,which accounted for 47.6% of the variation.6.Occupational commitment played a partial mediating role in the relationship between career calling and job satisfaction,and the mediating effect accounted for36.89% of the total effect.Conclusion:1.The career calling and occupational commitment of nurses in the Department of Oncology of Anhui Provincial Grade-A General Hospital are at the medium level,and their job satisfaction is basically up to the standard.2.Career calling and occupational commitment are positively correlated with overall job satisfaction,except for the balance dimension of family and work.With the increase of occupational calling level or occupational commitment level of oncology nurses,the job satisfaction score increases.It is suggested that interfering with career calling and occupational commitment variables is an important way to improve job satisfaction.3.Career calling has a direct impact on job satisfaction of oncology nurses.Occupational commitment played a partial mediating role in the relationship between career calling and job satisfaction. |
