| PurposeTo observe the changes of retinal capillary nonperfusion area and its effect on visual function in patients with BRVO after anti-VEGF treatment. Methods:A retrospective case-control study was conducted to collect the data of thirty eight patients with macular edema secondary to branch retinal vein occlusion diagnosed of fundus fluorescein angiography(FFA)and optical coherence tomography(OCT)from the outpatient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from April 2010 to October 2020.The patients were divided into group A(23 cases,23 eyes)and group B(15 cases,15 eyes),according to whether they were treated with intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF drugs or not(0.05ml),group A treated according to the method of 3 + PRN,group B did not receive anti-VEGFtreatment.(1)The best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),fundus photography,OCT and the area of NPA in macular region of FFA was collected,(2)The changes of BCVA(Log MAR),central macular thickness(CMT),NPA area and collateral vessel formation were compared between the two groups before and after treatment,(3)Objective to analyze the effect of anti VEGF drugs on BCVA,CMT,NPA area in patients with BRVO,and whether it has effect on retinal collateral vessel formation.Results1.There was no significant difference in gender, age, weight, intraocular pressure, onset time, onset eye and history of hypertension between the two groups before treatment(P > 0.05).2、BCVA(Log MAR):BCVA of group A before treatment was1.05±0.42,6 months after treatment was 0.67±48,the difference was 0.38±0.24;BCVA of group B before treatment was1.06 ±0.31,6 months after treatment was0.95±0.29,the difference was 0.10±0.19.There was no significant difference in BCVA between the two groups before treatment(P > 0.05).BCVA was improved 6 months after treatment, but the improvement of vision in group A was better than that in group B(P < 0.05).3、CMT(μm):The CMT of group A was 508.57±174.10 before treatment and 303.52 ± 157.19 at 6 months after treatment, with a difference of 205.04 ±225.57;The CMT of group B was 486.20±230.24 before treatment and 343.60±175.10 at 6 months after treatment, with a difference of 142.60±191.51.There was no significant difference in CMT between group A and group B before treatment(P>0.05).After 6 months of treatment,CMT was significantly lower than that before treatment(P<0.05).4.NPA area(mm2):the NPA area of group A was 6.30±4.58 before treatment and 6.02±4.67 at 6months after treatment, with a difference of 0.28±0.55;the NPA area of group B was8.38±4.34 before treatment and 9.17±4.60 at 6 months after treatment, with a difference of-0.79±0.48;There was no significant difference in NPA area between the two groups before treatment(P > 0.05).After treatment,NPA area decreased in group A and increased in group B.the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).5.Collateral vascularization: there was no significant difference in the number of cases of collateral vascularization between the two groups after treatment(P >0.05).Conclusion1.Anti VEGF treatment of brvo-me can significantly reduce macular edema and effectively improve visual acuity;2.Anti VEGF treatment can increase the NPA area of BRVO patients, but has no significant effect on the formation of collateral vessels. |
