Objective: By innovatively using a Structural Equation model(SEM)which is different from the traditional Logistic regression to study the risk factors of stroke in the population, the relationship between the explicit variables and the latent variables is explored in depth,we aimed to provided a more reference for the prevention and treatment of stroke. Methods: A random cluster sampling method was adopted to select permanent residents aged 40 years or above as research subjects. We counted the number of stroke cases, and calculated the stroke prevalence.Univariate and multivariate analysis were performed by chi-square tests and Structural Equation Models to study the risk factors for stroke. Results: The stroke prevalence aged 40 years or older was 3.39%.Univariate analysis showed that the age, gender, whether to have atrial fibrillation, hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, smoking history and Physical inactivity of the residents of the differences in stroke prevalence were statistically significant(p<0.05).Logistic regression showed that atrial fibrillation was the risk factor with the highest OR value in stroke among permanent residents in Donghu District of Nanchang [OR=5.307,95%CI(2.451,11.48)],this was followed by high blood pressure, diabetes, physical inactivity, dyslipidemia, and smoking historyConclusion: High-risk factors such as atrial fibrillati, diabetes are the key points of stroke prevention and control in the population.Related diseases directly affect the incidence of stroke, and there is a mediating effect between lifestyle and the incidence of stroke.
