| ObjectiveTo understand the psychological resilience status of junior nurses in a thrid level A-Rate hospital in Wu Han;clarify the influencing factors of the psychological resilience of junior nurses;analyze the relationship among the five personality,coping styles and psychological resilience of junior nurses;explore the mediating role of coping styles between the Big Five Personality and psychological resilience,provide a basis for helping junior nurses to self-regulate and maintain healthy psychological development,that is,how to tap their own inner strength to relieve pressure and adapt when faced with work pressure strategies from within the individual;enable nursing managers to formulate targeted intervention measures to improve the level of psychological resilience of junior nurses and provide a reference for improving their mental health.MethodsThis is a cross-sectional study.From July to October 2020,with the help of the questionnaire star network platform,the self-designed general information questionnaire,Connor-Davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC),Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ)and Big Five Inventory(BFI)are convenient to select 578 junior nurses who meet the inclusion criteria in a thrid level A-Rate hospital of Wuhan City.At first,date was analyzed using SPSS26.0 and Excel97-2003.For the demographic data questionnaire,Connor-Davidson resilience scale,simple coping style questionnaire and big five personality questionnaire,the frequency,percentage,mean and standard deviation were used for descriptive statistical analysis Independent sample t-test or one-way analysis of variance was used to analyze the resilience level of junior nurses.Pearson correlation was used to analyze the relationship between simple coping style,big five personality and psychological resilience of junior nurses Multivariate linear regression was used to analyze the influence of demographic data,simple coping style and Big Five personality on resilience.The mediation effect of coping style between Big Five personality and resilience was tested by Bootstrap using SPSS PROCESSV3.5.Results1.The status of psychological resilience,Big Five personality and coping style of junior nurses.The total score of resilience of junior nurses is(57.69±14.04),and the standardized score is(2.31±0.56);the scores of tenacity(28.45±8.07),self-improvement(20.09±5.06)and optimism(9.15±2.85);the standardized scores of the three dimensions from high to low are:self-improvement(2.51±0.63),optimism(2.29±0.71),and tenacity(2.19±0.62).The scores of the five dimensions of the big five personality of the junior nurses were extraversion(24.81±5.08),agreeableness(35.81±4.72),conscientiousness(33.23±4.27),neurot icism(22.62±5.72),openness(29.69±5.78).The standardized scores of the five dimensions from high to low are:agreeableness(3.98±0.52),sense of conscientiousness(3.68±0.56),extraversion(3.27±0.65),openness(2.97±0.58),neuroticism(2.83±0.72).The scores of the two dimensions of positive coping style and negative coping style of junior nurses were(22.50±6.56)and(9.66 ± 4.29);the standardized scores were(1.87 ±0.55)and(1.21±0.54).2.Influencing factors of resilience of junior nursesThe resilience of junior nurses has significant differences in demographic characteristics such as age,marital status,child status,highest education level,job title,appointment method,number of night shifts per month,monthly income,the degree of influence of hospital assessment and training,etc.(P<0.01).Through further multiple linear regression analysis,age,marital status,highest education level,five dimensions of the big five personality,and positive coping styles and negative coping styles are significant factors affecting psychological resilience(P<0.05).3.The correlation between the five personality,coping style and resilience of junior nursesThe extraversion,agreeableness,conscientiousness,openness and the total scores of resilience and the dimensions of the junior nurses’ Big Five personality are positively correlated(P<0.01),and the total scores of neuroticism and resilience and the dimensions of the Big Five personality are related to a negative correlation(P<0.01);the positive coping style was positively correlated with the total psychological resilience score and each dimension(P<0.01),and the negative coping style was negatively related with the total psychological resilience score and each dimension(P<0.01).Extroversion,agreeableness,conscientiousness,and openness in the Big Five personality are positively correlated with positive coping styles(P<0.01),negatively correlated with negative coping styles(P<0.01),and neurotic personality is negatively correlated with positive coping styles(P<0.01),positively correlated with negative coping styles(P<0.01).4.Coping style plays a part of mediating role between Big Five personality and resilienceExtroversion,agreeableness,conscientiousness,neuroticism and openness of junior nurses have significant effects on resilience(β= 0.287,P<0.001;β=0.109,P<0.001;β=0.239,P<0.001;β=-0.133,P<0.001;β=0.166,P<0.001);Extroversion,agreeableness,rigor,neuroticism and openness have significant effects on positive coping(β=0.296,P<0.001;β=0.131,P<0.001;β=0.211,P<0.001;β=-0.163,P<0.001;β=0.144,P<0.001);Extrove rsion,agreeableness,conscientiousness,neuroticism and openness have significant effects on negative coping(β=-0.214,P<0.001;β=-0.165,P<0.001;β=-0.200,P<0.001;β=0.140,P <0.001;β=-0.171,P<0.001),coping style plays a partial mediating role between Big Five personality and resilience.Conclusions1.Junior nurses in thrid level A-Rate hospital in Wuhan have a low level of resilience.2.The resilience of junior nurses is significant in demographic characteristics such as age,marital status,child status,highest education level,job title,appointment method,number of night shifts per month,and the degree of influence of hospital assessment and training in difference.3.The age,marital status,highest education level,five dimensions of the Big Five personality,positive coping styles and negative coping styles of junior nurses are significant influencing factors of resilience.4.The resilience of junior nurses,Big Five personality and coping style are related,and the coping style plays a part of mediating role between Big Five personality and resilience. |
