Clinical Effect Analysis Of Duhuo Jizi Decoction On Knee Osteoarthritis

ObjectiveTo observe the relief of pain,improvement of stiffness and recovery of functional activities of knee joint after duhuo Jizhi Decoction was used in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis,so as to provide a reference for the clinical treatment of knee osteoarthritis with Duhuo Jizhi Decoction.MethodsA total of 80 patients who met the diagnostic criteria for knee OSTEOarthritis from June 2020 to October 2021 in the Orthopaedic Department of Hankou District,Wuhan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were retrospectively selected and analyzed.Among the patients aged 49 to 68 years,25 were male and 55 were female.According to the random number table,they were divided into observation group and control group.Observation group: 12 males and 28 females,with an average age of 49-64 years（55.55±3.71years）;The course of disease ranged from 6 months to 8 years,with an average of（3.35±1.57）years.Control group: 13 males and 27 females,average age 51-68 years（56.88±4.63 years）;The course of disease ranged from 6 months to 6 years,with an average of（3.20±1.33）years.The observation group was treated with Duhuo Jisheng Decoction,and the control group was treated with oral glucosamine sulfate,for 3 weeks in both groups.Changes in visual analog pain scale（VAS）,WOMAC osteoarthritis index score before and after treatment,and follow-up treatment results were observed in 2 groups,and the data changes were statistically compared,and the influencing factors were analyzed to evaluate the clinical effect.ResultsA total of 80 patients in the observation and control groups were followed up 2 months after the end of treatment,resulting in 76 patients reaching follow-up,and visual analog pain scale（VAS）scores before and after 3 weeks of treatment.After 3-week treatment,VAS scores of patients in both groups were significantly decreased（P=0.000<0.05）,indicating that the treatment plan of drugs in both groups was effective.After 3 weeks of treatment,VAS scores of the observation group and the control group were compared,and the differences were statistically significant（P<0.05）.The intra-group and inter-group comparisons of WOMAC osteoarthritis index of the observation group and the control group were statistically significant（P<0.05）.Meanwhile,The therapeutic effect of follow-up observation group was better than that of control group（P<0.05）.ConclusionCompared with traditional oral administration of glucosamine sulfate and glucose,Duhuo Jizhi Decoction can alleviate the pain and stiffness of knee joint,improve the normal physiological function of the joint,and achieve the purpose of improving the quality of daily life of patients,reflecting the advantages of Chinese medicine treatment.
