Objective:In this study,we examined the size of carotid atherosclerotic plate in patients with coronary heart disease and non-coronary artery by color Doppler ultrasono-graphy,and examined the concentration of homocysteine(homocysteine)and ischemic modified albumin(IMA)in serum to explore the relationship between coronary heart disease and carotid atherosclerosis plaque,homocysteine and ischemic modified albumin.Methods:Diagnostic criteria for coronary heart disease: Diagnostic and classification criteria for coronary atherosclerotic heart disease of Chinese Medical Association in 2012:The lumen stenosis of any main branch or branch in the left main artery,left anterior descending artery,circumflex artery or right coronary artery is more than 50% by Coronary angiography.Coronary angiography was performed to diagnose coronary heart disease and nonCHD patients.Exclusion of case criteria: Severe internal diseases such as heart failure,kidney failure,infectious disease,psychosis,and incomplete data affecting judgment.Sixty-five patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)were selected,including 35 males and 30 females,with an average age of 63.86±10.04.Meanwhile,35 patients who did not meet the diagnostic criteria of CHD were selected as the control group,including 20 males and 15 females,with an average age of 60.17±7.91.Carotid intima-media thickness(IMT)and ather-osclerotic plaque were detected by color Doppler ultrasound.Serum levels of homocysteine(HCY)and ischemic modified albumin(IMA)were measured.Then,the relationship between the size of carotid atherosclerotic plaque,homocysteine,ischemiamodified albumin concentration and coronary heart disease was analyzed.Results:The size of carotid atherosclerotic plaque and the concentration of homocys-teine and ischemic modified albumin in the coronary heart disease group were significantly higher than those in the control group.The proportion of carotid atherosclerotic plaque formation in coronary heart disease group was significantly higher than that in non-coronary heart disease group(P<0.05),and the degree of carotid atherosclerotic plaque reflected the degree of coronary artery disease.The concentration of homocysteine and ischemic modified albumin in serum was higher than that in non-coronary heart disease group(P<0.05),and the more severe the lesion was in a certain extent,the earlier the ischemic modified albumin appeared.Conclusion:Patients with coronary heart disease are closely related to carotid atherosclerotic plaque,homocysteine and ischemic modified albumin,and there is a certain correlation between coronary heart disease and the three.The higher the degree of coronary artery stenosis,the higher the degree of carotid atherosclerosis plaque,the higher the concentration of homocysteine and ischemic modified albumin in serum,the earlier ischemic modified albumin appeared.Detection of carotid atherosclerosis plaque and ischemic modified albumin can prevent the progress of coronary atherosclerosis by various interventions in advance.Reducing homocysteine can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
