The Short-term Clinical Efficacy Of Two Types Of Vidian Neurectomy For Allergic Rhinitis

ObjectiveTo observe the short-term clinical efficacy and complications of the treatment of allergic rhinitis with vidian neurectomy on one side and elective vidian neurectomy on the other side or two side with vidian neurectomy.MethodsSelect patients with allergic rhinitis who were hospitalized in our hospital for surgical treatment from January 2019 to October 2020.According to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,there were sixty patients were selected.The patients chose one of the two operation method according to their own wishes,and were eventually divided into the control group and the observation group,each group with 30 cases.The observation group underwent left vidian neurectomy and right elective vidian neurectomy under nasal endoscopy,while the control group received endoscopic vidian neurectomy of two sides.Patients were followed up to at least 3 months after surgery,record test Schirmer I,and fill in visual analogue scale(VAS)and Rhinocon junctivitis Quality of Life Questionnaire(RQLQ),Compare the differences of nasal symptoms and eye bleeding before and after operation,and observe the differences of curative effect and complications between the two operation methods.RESULTSAt the end of follow-up of 60 patients,compared with preoperation,the VAS and RQLQ score of the observation group and the control group at 1 month and 3 months after surgery were statistically different from those before surgery(P<0.05);Compared between the observation group and the control group,there was no significant difference in VAS and RQLQ score between preoperative and postoperative(P > 0.05);According to VAS and RQLQ score,they were divided into significantly effective,effective and ineffective.The results showed that there was no significant difference in effective rate between the two groups(P>0.05);There was statistical difference in the test Schirmer I between the observation group and the control group at 5 days and 1 month after surgery(P<0.05),and there was no statistically significant difference in the test Schirmer I between the two groups at 3 months after surgery(P>0.05);Self-control of the left and right eye bleeding test in the observation group.The level of bleeding between left and right eyes at 5days and 1 month after operation was statistically significant difference(P<0.05),and there was no statistically significant difference between left and right eyes at 3 months after operation(P>0.05);Some patients in the two groups had complications such as dry eyes,postoperative bleeding,numbness of the palate,and headache.In terms of postoperative adverse reactions,the difference between the two groups of patients was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionThe short-term clinical curative effect of the treatment of allergic rhinitis by vidian neurectomy on one side and elective vidian neurectomy on the other side or two side with vidian neurectomy is definite,and the nasal symptoms are obviously improved after operation,but its long-term efficacy still needs to be further observed;The two surgical methods all have some adverse reactions after the operation.But the incidence of vidian neurectomy on one side and elective vidian neurectomy on the other side is lower than that of two side with vidian neurectomy,and its safety is worthy of being affirmed.
