| Purpose :Meningioma is a common primary intracranial tumor,among them,the skull base meningioma is deep,mostly located in functional areas,with complex surrounding structures and difficult operation.This study mainly discusses the effect of cavitron ultrasonic surgical aspirator(CUSA)combined with microelectroknife of patients undergoing the operation of skull base meningioma,in order to reduce the risk of surgery and improve the prognosis of such patients.Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of 125 patients with skull base meningioma who were treated in the neurosurgical ward of our hospital from January 2018 to June 2021.According to the different methods adopted during surgery,the patients were divided into observation group(65 cases)and control group(60 cases).The observation group of patients were treated with CUSA combined with microelectroknife,while the control group was treated with conventional surgical instruments.The perioperative condition(duration of operation,amount of intraoperative blood loss and blood transfusion,length of hospital stay),simpson grade of tumor resection,symptom relief,re-currence rate and prognosis were compared between the two groups.Results:Compared with the control group,the amount of intraoperative blood loss and blood transfusion in the observation group were significantly reduced,and the length of hospital stay was significantly shortened.There was significant difference in Simpson grade between the two groups.Postoperative limb dysfunction,aphasia and epilepsy were significantly improved in the observation group,while the limb dysfunction was significantly improved in the control group.Compared with the control group,postoperative aphasia and epilepsy symptoms were significantly improved in the observation group.The incidence and recurrence rate of postoperative complications in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group.Conclusion :The operation of cranial base meningioma is difficult,ultrasonographic aspirator combined with microelectroknife has a better effect on the resection of patients with skull base meningioma,and can promote symptom recovery and reduce disease recurrence,which is worthy of clinical promotion. |
