The Water System And Urban Space Of Zhangye Ancient City Since The Ming And Qing Dynasties Morphological Evolution

Located at the intersection of the ancient“Silk Road”and“Juyan Ancient Road”,Zhang Wei has been established since the establishment of the county in the Western Han Dynasty.It has a history of more than 2,100 years and is the political,economic and cultural center of the Hexi region.The Heihe River system is the mother river of Zhangye and even the Hexi area,raising a large oasis and agricultural irrigation area in the Hexi Corridor.As a typical Gobi Oasis city,Zhangye is rich in water resources.It is known as the “south of the south of the Yangtze River”.The ancient city of Ming and Qing Dynasties has a beautiful landscape of “four sides of reeds and three sides of water,one city of Yangliu and half city lake”.Since ancient times,the rulers of all ages have attached great importance to water conservancy development and urban construction in Zhangye,and water resources have always been the main factors affecting the location,evolution and development of Zhangye City.With the accelerating process of urbanization,Zhang Wei is currently facing problems such as blockage of river channels,shrinkage of water system,and lack of system of water environment.Water has become a fundamental factor restricting the sustainable development of cities.In recent years,the overall protection of the Heihe River Basin has been ongoing,but its ecological historical and cultural values have not been fully utilized and tapped.Exploring the urban-water interaction mechanism of the Gobi Oasis city is an important starting point for the research of the thesis.Based on the historical data research,the thesis takes the change of urban water system as the starting point,and observes the development and evolution of the spatial form of Zhangye and the modern city from the urban system and urban pattern.From the phenomenon to the essence,the thesis explores the wisdom of Zhangye ancient people’s water environment construction,especially on the basis of combing the analysis of Zhangyecheng water interaction law and related influencing factors,and proposes water environment protection for the existing problems of Zhangye ancient city.The strategy of sustainable development is of great value and practical significance for the sustainable development of the underdeveloped areas in the northwest,the history and culture of other oasis cities with fragile ecological environment and the implementation of the “Belt and Road” development strategy.The full text is mainly composed of six parts of research content:In the first chapter,the introduction part sorts out and analyzes the research background,purpose,significance,content and method of the thesis,and clarifies the framework of the thesis;The second chapter analyzes the geographical location of the Heihe River system and the ancient water conservancy construction,explores the influence of the Heihe River system on the site selection of ancient cities,and gives a general overview of the early water system and the change of the shape of the ancient city of Zhangye;The third chapter expounds the environmental changes of the Heihe River system in Zhangye,Ming and Qing Dynasties,analyzes the relationship between the scale and spatial layout of the Heihe River system and the ancient town system,and deeply excavates the water system and the ancient city of Zhangye from the aspects of layout,texture,landscape and spatial structure.Relationship,summarizing the thoughts and wisdom of the construction of the ancient city water environment.The fourth chapter expounds the environmental changes of the modern Zhangye Heihe River system,analyzes the relationship between the scale and spatial layout of the Heihe River system and the Zhangye urban system,and explores the changes of the Heihe River system from the perspectives of urban function,urban structure,green space pattern and urban landscape.Interaction with urban spatial patterns,and quantitative analysis and summary.The fifth chapter summarizes the interaction law between Zhangye water system and urban space from the diachronic point of view,and concludes that the regional environment,political and military,social economy,history and culture,planning ideas are the leading factors that influence the spatial form change of Zhangye ancient city.In the sixth chapter,aiming at the problems existing in the water environment of the ancient city,this paper proposes the sustainable development goals and specific strategies of the Zhangye ancient city based on the Heihe River system,and makes a preliminary exploration of the future urban water environment protection and development.
