The Cultural Interpretation Of Cross-dressing Performances Of Male Web Celebrities In Short Videos On The Internet

As of June 2019,the online video users a total of 759 million people in China,in such a large market,short video suddenly rises,not only make industry profitable,at the same time generate the strange style and increasingly professional category content,among which the men web celebrities cross-dressing is one of the dramatic type of category.In China,gender cross-dressing performance has evolved from the performance technique in traditional dramas to an online video performance mode with characteristics of entertainment and grassroots,and has become a personalized expression of the public.Based on the background of postmodernism and multiple electronic media,this paper mainly analyzes the male web celebrities cross-dressing phenomenon in short videos with the gender performance theory and the parody theory to explain its production mechanism,theoretical implications and social effects.The thesis consists of three chapters.Firstly,to study history and culture of gender cross-dressing,expounds its rheological process,and from the perspective of the subculture and aesthetic culture and makes a point that gender cross-dressing broke the barriers between different cultural groups,with its openness successfully established the new tribe with flow qualities within subculture system,also the aesthetic has become increasingly popular instead more classical.However,the aesthetic culture also appeared vulgarization trend in the post-modern period of the symbol carnival atmosphere,lost the traditional pursuit of the eternal center.Secondly,the article focuses on the development context,generation context and type characteristics of web celebrities after defining the short video and web celebrities.It is believed that male web celebrities gender cross-dressing has taken the root in the video industry under the concerted promotion of technology update,commercial capital injection,strong rise of "HER ECONOMY" and cultural tide of "reviewing the ugliness",and presents more feminine,life and entertainment-oriented and meaningless characteristics.The last chapter is the core of this article.To exert gender performance theory to analyze the objects is the first step,and it is believed that the use of body intention and discourse resources with unique gender color can temporarily reconstruct the social gender in the dynamic,and re-endue the relatively positive meaning of self-identity in the process of repeated performance.On the other hand,by using the parody theory to analyze the characteristics of"shanzhai" and "native flavor" presented by researching objects in short videos,and expounds its function like dispelling the mainstream culture,reconstructing the multicultural system and resisting the tradition.However,it is worth noting that the recurring female images are actually some kind of solidification of women’s images and cannot be a real weapon to subvert the traditional gender order.In addition,under the influence of consumerism,this phenomenon also inevitably become the commercial integration,and its resistance is only passive resistance with camouflage.
