Study On The Vocabulary Variation Of Wu Zhong’s Mandarin From The Perspective Of Language Contact

Since the popularization of mandarin,the linguistic phenomenon of local mandarin has been gradually formed in China,and the analysis and exploration of this linguistic variation has become the focus of Chinese language research.Through the study of language variation,language contact and theories related to putonghua promotion,the author selects the target of wuzhong mandarin vocabulary variation and explores it from the perspective of language contact.Firstly,the author explore the general situation of wu zhong and it’s dialect by introducing the history,culture and geographical location of wu zhong,which illustrates the feasibility of studying the variation of its mandarin vocabulary from the perspective of the contact between mandarin and wu zhong.And then,starting from the ontology of wu zhong dialect,this paper compares mandarin from three aspects of structure,pronunciation,vocabulary and grammar,and comprehensively introduces the characteristics of wu zhong dialect.Secondly,the author describes and summaries the characteristics of wu zhong’s mandarin vocabulary from the aspects of pronunciation,word meaning and word form.Thirdly,the author explores the correlation between age,occupation,education,ethnicity and first language and the usage of words in wu zhong dialect by combining Spearman correlation coefficient,and explains the reason for the correlation by combining the speaker’s language attitude and language use.Finally,the paper explores the ways and mechanism of the variation of wu zhong’s mandarin vocabulary.Due to the differences in the first language of the speaker,there are two ways of wu zhong’s mandarin evolution:mother tongue interference and interlanguage transmission.The mechanism of the variation of mandarin vocabulary lies in the substitution caused by its similarity with wuzhong dialect and the supplement caused by its difference.
