This article takes Hu Feng in the period of being wronged(from 1955 to 1979)as the research object. It analysis his potential writing works, living conditions, ideological development in this period, and comprehensively grasp his ideological changes and living situation in each stage of prison in order to show the spiritual personality of "the spiritual missing person" in a special period.Specifically, the study will be devided into the following three chapters:The first chapter mainly analyzes Hu Feng’s living conditions in a single cell of Beijing Qincheng Prison from his arrest in 1955 to the end of 1965.During this period,he created a large number of ancient poems and used the form of rhyming poems. At this time,Hu Feng’s poems often used opposing images to express his inner confusion and contradiction.Combining the typical poetry,we can see the sharp critical spirits, the pursuit and persistence of truth in he’s poetry as always. These characteristics are both his unique life experience and the manifestation of Lu Xun’s spirit on Hu Feng. The second chapter analyzes Hu Feng’s living condition and writing during the period of execution outside prison, that is to say,he left Beijing for Chengdu in 1966,left Chengdu for Miao Creek Tea Farm in 1967,and was sent to Chengdu in 1969 until he was commuted to life imprisonment in 1970 and transferred to the Sichuan Province’s No.3 prison. The letters and poems written by Hu Feng to his friends reveal his anxiety and depression after “being exiled” and the tranquility and optimism closely followed. These works has both the feeling of criticism and the pursuit of seclusion, showing the dual personality characteristics of poet and warrior on Hu Feng. The third chapter is the study of Hu Feng’s thought in the last period of Sichuan Province’s No.3 prison in Dazhu until his released. This period is the last dark time before dawn. This chapter, through the analysis of Hu Feng’s thoughts report and related memoirs of relatives in this period, discusses the change of his mentality, emotions, and behaviors and looks for the ideological origin of ending life and being silent as a way of confrontation.
