Population aging is an inevitable trend in the development of today’s society.China, which is old before getting rich, has the largest group of old people in the world.Improving the health level of the elderly will help achieve the goal of building a well-off society in an all-round way.Health includes physical and mental health. With rapid economic development,China’s urban-rural dual structure has gradually widened the gap between urban and rural economic and social development, and the problem of the gap between the rich and the poor has gradually become apparent, which has affected individual mental health to some extent.Compared with other groups, elderly women in rural areas lack economic resources and are in a disadvantaged position in society and families.Their mental health problems are easily overlooked.Studies have shown that poverty is one of the important factors affecting mental health. With the in-depth study of the problem of poverty, more scholars believe that poverty is not only a single dimension of the economy, but deprivation in education, medical care, health and other aspects will also lead to the poverty of people’s feasible ability, which is a kind of multidimensional poverty.Based on the domestic and foreign results on the mental health of elderly women, this paper uses CHARLS survey data to describe and analyze the mental health status and influential factors of rural elderly women from the perspective of multidimensional poverty and orderly multi-purpose probit regression analysis.Specifically, the article mainly analyzes the impact of the 10 dimensions of multidimensional poverty on the economic health, development dimension, living condition dimension and daily life dimension on the mental health of rural elderly women. The results show that the factors that affect the mental health of rural elderly women are muti-dimensional,and it cannot be considered that only economic poverty will affect them.Among them, life care in the daily life dimension has the most significant impact on the mental health of elderly women in rural areas. The economic dependence and pension of children in the economic dimension, education level in the development dimension, housing conditions in the housing condition dimension, and cooking fuel affect their mental health.Significantly, but the quality of life dimensions of drinking water and sanitation, social interaction in daily life have no significant impact on their mental health. In view of the above problems, this article proposes countermeasures and suggestions from the following aspects: First,to provide spiritual and material rewards to families who actively support women in old age;second,to reeducate rural elderly women and provide targeted knowledge lectures,Senior university courses;third,in terms of quality of life, actively improving their housing conditions, can provide certain subsidies for the improvement of adobe houses and other dangerous houses;encourage rural elderly female families to use clean fuels;fourth, promote social welfare for the elderly in rural areas Institutions,in villages and other fixed places to provide recreational activities specifically for elderly women. For elderly women who cannot take care of themselves or have trouble moving, the community can set up one-on-one help and visit them regularly.Make up for the inadequacy of family care in all aspects. |
