Study And Verification Of Notes On Famous Paintings In History·on Mounting

As the first systematic literature on mounting in the Chinese history,Notes of Famous Paintings of the Past Dynasties · on Mounting not only sorts out the literature on mounting,but also involves specific practices of mounting materials and techniques.It is a key point of penetration to study the mounting of Tang dynasty scroll paintings.This thesis takes Notes of Famous Paintings of the Past Dynasties · On Mounting as the research object,and upholds the academic idea that “studying traditional art with traditional theories and inheriting traditional art with contemporary scholarship”.The whole process integrating theory and practice is studied by adopting three in-depth research methods on material,shape and theory,supplemented by literature research,scientific test,simulation and comparison between China and Japan.The thesis aims to activate the mounting techniques of Tang scroll paintings and provide empirical study for cultural relic preservation and restoration.
